It's all because of GenCon
I told myself before GenCon that I "Am not going to buy any miniatures or miniatures war games." There was simply to many RPG's and card games I wanted to get and I had a limited budget. I also know that when I start getting into games with minis I get sucked in BIG time. I made a promise to myself that I simply wouldn't do it. And then some guy in a black shirt at the Wyrd booth asked me if I wanted to try out Malifaux...
I now have:
Rule Book
Retro Fate Deck
Purple Stripe Fate Deck
Guild
Lady Justice Box set
Pirdeta Box Set
Executioner
Arcanists
Ramos Box Set
Extra pack of Spiders
Rail Golem
Neverborn/Ten Thunders
Jakob Lynch Box Set
Mr. Graves
Mr. Tanner
Beckoners
Two copies of Miss Terious (don't know what I am going to do with the second copy yet)
I thought about getting the hanging tree but it has a big price tag for either a pretty pice of scenery or a unit for a faction I don't have... Unless I just go ahead and get some stuff for Nicodemus then I have it... NO NO. No more for now!
Well now I completely threw my budget out the window all because of this fun little game. So I guess I am here to stay now. Now what to paint first? (I might do a painting blog thing for all of my stuff to on the painting forums)

Welcome to the game good sir! I've been playing since the first print run of book 1, just realized that after Gencon, I will have almost 140 models!
It all started because I wanted a game that was cheaper than 40K, but alas, it has grown to a fondness for the characters and the factions as a whole.
I hope you enjoy your time here and choose to stay for a long time!Own: Perdita , Sonnia, Lady J, Hoffman, Lucius, McCabe , Seamus, Molly, Nicodem, McMourning, Misaki

I've just realised that the case I brought to carry all my Malifaux figures, may soon end up just being the Resurrectionist Case.
But nice to have new blood... And another Elmo, they are getting everywhere.

Yes one huge attraction to this game was that the starting price was not to steep, I mean could have gotten 2 decent starter armies for the same price as I payed for the minimum things needed for one starting 40k army, but don't get me started on what I think of the complete idiots over at GW... especially since I have been playing there games since I was 10. But yes the lower price was a plus, that may seem sort of strange for me to say since I ended up buying so much stuff up front. But I really don't know of anyone else that plays this and I don't exactly live close to a gaming store so I have to persuade my friends to play games with me but none of them will actually spend money on this stuff so I just have to buy stuff for them to play with when I want to play a game. Hence why I got 3 crews to play with (with some options to mix things up).
Yes I think after I get this stuff painted my old Imperial Guard army will go in the plastic ben in the closet and their nice carrying case will be adopted by malifaux.

Welcome man. I know how it is to be far from a store. The one I'm a henchman at is 40 min away :/ no fun. But I enjoy playing the game. Since you have friends that will at least play with you, you will be teaching the game alot and learning with each other. This is a great time to learn with others and teaching makes you better as a player too! Once again welcome to the Wyrd side of the world
