Just how awesome is Diminished Resistance
I'm looking at the carrion effigy and trying to figure out how good the Diminished Resistance aura is. It says enemy models cannot ignore effects and lose all immunities.
okay.
So presumable as a resser model the idea was to remove immunity to moral tests from constructs, soulless, and nightmares. That's pretty cool. But wait, it seems like this would do a hell of a lot more. Seems like it nukes Perfect Machine/Superior Dead, leaving a number of master vulnerable to various shenanigans. Fire Gamin and Kaeris can be set on fire. Von Schill and the Dreamer can be blown up. Obeys for everyone! Coryphee can be charged. Dogs and cats, living together!
Granted it's only a 4" aura on a model that isn't super fast or durable. Still seems to offer a lot of potential jerkiness...
Or am I misunderstanding how it works? I'm assuming it draws a distinction between ignoring an effect and resisting or being untargettable for an effect. If not then its insanely good.

There is indeed a distinction. You still can't Obey a master (Obey says "non-master"), an undead model wouldn't take terrifying tests (only living models take the test per the terrifying rules), and so on.

Does terrifying say only living or does undead say can't be terrified? I just moved and can't find my RM as of yet. I assume the two will play differently for purposes of the Carrion Effigy.
I came, I saw, I posted.

Terrifying only affects Living models, but also Undead have a immunity to morale duels. This is why Anathama has two clauses, one making the Terrifying affect all models, and the other removing immunities to moral duels.
