From what I saw, it's an 8 to get weigh sins, but yeah, I get your vibe. I mostly go on a lightning alpha strike from turn one outactivating my opponent and summoning a shikome to nuke and exposed pieces, but I do think I should slow it down a bit and see how that pans out.

Seems horribly hand intensive.

My usual 35 pointer lately is

    Kirai with 5 soulstones
    Lost Love
    4 Seishin
    Avatar
    2 night Terrors
    2 Gaki
    1 Shikome

What do you people usually use when you go onryo friendly? I suppose the shikome is the first one to go out, but having a shikome with active prey that can be transferred to newly summoned shikome feels huge to me.
With Kirai It's always better to summon a shikome rather than to pay for one (at least the way I see it). Yes the Shikome summoned wont get prey blah blah, who cares. If you summon a shikome it can pretty much do what ever it wants. Yes it wont get the bonuses for beating up a prey, but its a Wk 5, nimble, 7 wound spirit with a pretty good amount of utility.

When I build a Kirai list, the first 12ss is 5 sieshin and lost love, from there it is usually 2 onryo, 2 drowmed, datsu- ba etc, dependng on strategy. I usually get Ikyro out turn 1 or 2 just to hang around and act as wound insurance when i want to start summoning a bit more heavily. Absorb spirit on Ikyro heals Kirai 4 wounds.

Night Terrors: Are freaking amazing but if the strat is like slaughter, or contain power, why are they here?

Gaki: usually the only times i get to use a gaki is if im doing really well and i have ap left to spend on spirit food to get a free gaki. Or I pay for 1 or 2, take the scheme army of the dead and just park them in a corner and poop out corpse counters.

The avatar I cant comment on because i havent used it yet.

Malifaux 2E? And you're actually changing things that should have been changed a while ago?

I dont actually own or am planning on owning Night Terrors (I know that almost tantamount to sacrilige as a Resser player but I like Necropunks with the other Resser masters better and havent needed them with Kirai). I like having an Onryo on the board from the start and then vary up either a Shikome, a few Gaki or Datsu Ba. I find having that toolbox available without summoning is more beneficial to me.

I reach out to for night terrors because they are fantastic little scheme doers and scheme screwers too. Destroying an opponent's Hold Out scheme is a breeze with them and if he sees them in my list and decides to go for a harder scheme, then hey, win win for me.

I will admit I'm really compelled from what I've read here and I'm really interested in going with a slower approach to Kirai, something like this

    Kirai
    5 seishin
    Lost Love
    Avatar
    Datsue Ba
    Canine Remain
    Desperate merc
and round it out with any combination of night terrors, gakis, onryo, insidious madness or shikome that make sense that day.

Will give something like this a spin in my next game. While we are at it. Anyone reach for any interesting non spirit models for non fodder reasons? Thinking dead Rider with possibly spirifying shenanigans or a rotten belle for more utilitarian uses.

I tried Sebastian once thinking I'd spirit him and swirl him into combat, but went the whole game without getting the high crow I needed. Sucked.
