New meat from the UK.
Hey all,
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself really, ive been lurking around the back alleys of these forums for the last few weeks and i must say that the community here seems fantastic and both very friendly and helpful.
Im a bit of a returning hobbiest as i played a lot of WHFB as a youngster but couldn't really afford it. Then i saw a couple of my friends playing Warmahordes a year or so back and i was hooked back in.
Anyway i ended up here after searching for another game to play alongside Warmahordes that should be a bit cheaper and on a smaller scale but no less fun or in depth. Thats when i came across Malifaux, i read the first two books from cover to cover and fell in love with the whole setting and backstory and how characterful all the errr... characters are. then i checked out the mini's as the aesthetics of a model are arguably more important to me than how good it is (to a point). I've gotta say that Wyrd have done a great job with the look and feel of most of its models.
Anyway so after picking up a Seamus box for myself and talking a friend into getting a crew to play against (Dreamer) i havn't looked back. I've only played 2 games so far but had a blast playing both, the stratagies and schemes system looks like an excellent way of making every game different no matter how many models you have and the fate deck system which we were both a bit dubious about to start with (being dice traditionalists) works very well.
Next ill look into picking up another crew or 2 along with expanding my Seamus box set. I really like the looks of the Rasputina and Hamelin crews although i hear that Hamelin can be a bit of a pain to play against and with, so i may wait until Wyrd hit him with the Nerf hammer.
Well enough ranting from me, just looking forward to hopefully becoming a part of your great community and also to seeing just how far down the rabbit hole actually goes!

Hi, there welcome to our growing group of South Wales Malifaux players.
The rabbit hole never ends, I started similar just wanting a few crews as a change from WFB now I have several with more planned, and Malifaux is all I really play.
Rasputina sounds good as a next box set, it's a very different playstyle to both Seamus and the Dreamer which is good for getting used to all the different tactics and mechanics in the game.

Nice to see some more players from around my local area. I buy most of Trollbloods from Firestorm already so im bound to pop in from time to time, i hear that Firestorm also has one of the best Malifaux selections in the UK so im sure ill be spending alot more time there in the near future.

Gadrean, both myself and Dumb Luck are in Firestorm at least once a week, sometimes both usually on the game nights on Tuesday and Thursday and occasionally at the weekend.
Weve got several players covering all the factions, but if you see someone with a mass of Guild that will be me, Dumb Luck will generally have his gremlin hoard and his Viks and our local resser player is generally there both days as well. And if you see or hear someone with a nice looking Arkham Asylum themed viks crew as well as an Alice in Wonderland inspired Pandora crew that will be Shouty Dave. Theres at least another 5-6 others who are regulary down, most of the time with some Malifaux available if theyre not playing anything else.

Great i'll keep an eye out for you guys, i've never been to one of Firestorms game nights so i'll have to make a note of popping by. I know they hold a lot of tournaments there as well, i popped in a week last saturday with a friend who was buying some Cryx and it was absolutely heaving.Gadrean, both myself and Dumb Luck are in Firestorm at least once a week, sometimes both usually on the game nights on Tuesday and Thursday and occasionally at the weekend.
