Obey and charge actions

When a model gets obeyed can it be charged in any direction?

according to the rules "This model may take the charge action if it has a target model in LOS and not in melee range. charging model must move up to its Cg in a straight line toward the target , making every effort to end the move with the target in melee range"

So does this mean Zorida can not obey someone and charge them away from her just to make them be further away from her or an objective? that she has to make it charge towards a model?

That's right. There must be an actual target declared for a Charge.

Note that the charge need not succeed, though. I believe you can get the same effect by charging something well out of range.

ya i knew if you try to charge someone and it falls short that models charge action ends.
this is helpful as my models would be charged away in random directions with no models near

Is this true? Does the activation end?

I thought only certain abilities tht grant a charge state this, not any charge.

your right, only charge action ends. I was told differently when I was taught the game :O

Also found it in rule book "If the target of the charge is out of melee range at the end of the model's move, the charge action end immediately"
