    Dumb Luck Trigger

Ok, another question from the pullmyfinger wiki:

    Dumb Luck

Doubles rifle attack damage but suffer normal damage. It requires a ram which Ophelia could grant with her Dumb and Lucky action, but generally Pere or Francois are better targets for this. Since you declare triggers after cheating you can gauge the amount to be doubled versus the damage taken when deciding if you will use it.
What does it mean, "you can guage the amount to be doubled vs the damage taken when deciding if you will use it."

    I thought the steps went:
    1) Flip starting total
    2) Cheat and Soulstone
    3) Calculate final total and declare triggers
    4) Flip for damage

Those are indeed the steps, but you can roughly calculate your damage based on the possible dual total. If you're at a negative flip then you'll likely only do Weak or Moderate damage, but a straight or positive flip will be moderate to severe.

Gotcha, I thought it was inferring I would somehow know what damage I was going to do before I declared the trigger. Thank you much sir.

Well if your damage flip is straight or positive you can cheat it as well, so you can know that way.
