Seamus' Live for Pain and Wound Prevention
Yesterday in our game a situation occured in which we were unable to find out what was right/wrong.
I used Live for Pain on an enemy model for 5 damage, my opponent then wanted to use a Wound Prevention flip primarily to prevent me from healing 5 Wounds. I then argued that I had given him 5 damage and the wording on the spell said that I healed the same number of wounds as the damage dealt. His Wound Prevention flip would remove incoming wound - not damage - and thus he would not be able to lower the amount of wounds that I healed.
Is this correct?

I believe you are correct in this situation. From looking at the Rules FAQ and the Damage Resolution FAQ, it says "damage inflicted" is the total amount suffered Before reducing effects are taken into account. So yeah on a severe you would heal 5 even if the opponent has armor or use soulstone, if they do have one or more of those then they'll still take the reduced amount of damage.
