    Resin vs Clear paint

I'm making a sewer board and am now debating pouring resin (which I have never done before vs using a high gloss clear paint/lacquer. And could either of these take being lightly tinted with green ink perhaps?

The floor of the sewer is covered with cobblestone paper.

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

I would just use Yacht Varnish, dirt cheap and will take a tint as it's water based these days.

if you have anything on the board made of polystyrene (high density or regular) - Resin will probably eat through it.
Resin can usualy be tinted, although most of them require special paints/inks for resin (which is usually made by the manufacturer of the resin)

As already stated, resin will demolish the polystyrene and if you dont know that you are left in situation of not knowing what to do at a moment's notice. I discovered this when I was making some Necromunda scenery many, many years ago. The 2nd version there was a lot of wood involved!

Resin also stinks to high heaven. Be careful of fume induced headaches. It also takes ages to set.

I've used this Envirotex Lite product for most of my boards. As long as you have it painted you shouldn't have an issue.
