    My Nico list

I guess this list has been done but if every one can give me there op on it and advice

    -----------------------------------------------
    25ss (2ss for master)

    Nico 5ss Cache
    Mebalmer 7 ss
    Vulture 2 ss
    Vulture 2 ss
    Canine Remains x 6 = 12ss

    -----------------------------------------------

Crew total 35ss (3ss for master)

    Nico 6ss Cache
    Mebalmer 7 ss
    Mortimer 7 ss
    Vulture 2 ss
    Canine Remains x 8 = 16ss

The idea is i keep making new Zombies and when im ready to summon the 1 Rogue Necromacy and 2 Flash Constructs on turn 3 and then turn 4 summon 3 more Flesh constructs and still have like 5 or more zombies for shield

As a long time Nicodem player, I can give you some starting advice.

Malifaux is not about list-building beforehand. You pick a faction, then determine strategies, then build your crew. Sometimes the vultures will help you get key Paralysis spells- othertimes they are targets.

If you decide to start using Nicodem's Avatar then Rafkin's poisoning hijinks may come in handy based on reports I've read, but that's for later (not to mention I'd rather someone who's tested this go over it).

Otherwise, don't bother with the "kill my own dogs" method. The main reason is that by the time you've got all your badass toys on the table, your opponent has some or all of their VPs with less resistance since you were busy killing your own dogs.

Brief notes on models follow. What you take is going to depend on the strategy:
    • If you need objective runners, you're going to want Night Terrors or Necropunks, depending on a couple of other things. Terrors are much better pure objective runners, but 'Punks are a bit more versatile, especially if you swarm an important model with them.
    • Punk Zombies hit hard (especially with Bolster Undead) and you might want to keep one just outside of 2" as a bodyguard for Nicodem.
    • Mortimer I could take or leave- if you really, really want to burn cards trying for free corpse counters and/or to use Fresh Meat to move everyone up the table, go for it, otherwise leave him at home.
    • Rotten Belles afford you some board control and can also be used to pull your own minions across the board (just make sure they won't get within 2" or else they have to deal with an attack).
    • Crooked Men I am still experimenting with, but they have a nice Blast option and can paralyze in melee with a .
    • Consider Desperate Mercenaries as disposable minions. Kill them off before their auto-sacrifice comes into play, and they'll heal one of your minions in range to boot.
    • The Vultures are good for maximizing LOS for your best weapon (see below for more).
    • Consider two dogs for cheap Mindless Zombies to use as shields if you are facing a more aggressive crew. I often skip them and just keep a Punk Zombie nearby to tie up opponents who want to go after Nico. If you aren't playing against Hamelin or Marcus they can also serve as meat shields. Might as well have them die trying to hurt your opponent...

Use the Vultures' Eyes and Ears to give you more lines of sight for Rigor Mortis. Unless I have a priority target for Decay (healing my own or killing an opponent's Minion) or the perfect opportunity to drop a nasty summon on someone, I try to paralyze at least twice per turn. Other than a CB 9 Bolstered Punk Zombie, the one thing your opponents will fear is your ability to sling Paralyze like crazy.

Treat summoning as an opportunity, not as a primary goal. Malifaux is all about the victory points at any cost. If you have the card and counters available to reanimate something good, go for it. If not, you should only try to Reanimate something if you're desperate, or have a low Crow and want to burn a Soulstone. Knowing when to summon is even more important than what to summon.

tl;dr unless the opportunity for a good summon presents itself, you should be focusing on Bolster Undead and Rigor Mortis to help your minions accomplish their tasks

Official Scribe of the Unofficial Malifaux Find a Game/Opponent Listing.
I coined the term "Classicfaux." Not much of a claim to fame, but I'll take what I can get.
