Perdita, Crew and Avatar
I am considering getting Perdita as my next main master.
Any considerations, tips, hints, opinions, etc that would be useful in me getting her crew and playing effectively in a generic sense?
What is her avatar like compared to "non-avatar" Perdita?

Biggest advice I can give as a newish Perdita player myself is: Be careful about Companioning. Remember if you go ahead and take all your activations at once you are basically give your opponent an Alpha Strike with all of his remaining units.

Yeh, the companion sounds like it should be good, but I think its also as much of a trap to those unwary players. Especially if it doesn't go as planned..

Not sure how aPerdita plays, as I'm just building my own Ortega crew, but just finished building her and she looks awesome. Hopefully she'll still look as good after I've painted her! Ghost town bases throughout for a consistent theme.

I love perdita, she is awesome. Companioning is awesome, but you do need to be careful how often you use it (one game, the only time I used it was when Nino and Francisco were in combat with a wounded lillith, Francisco flurried and took out lillith, leaving Nino free to snipe someone and I companioned Santiago who then took out a 3rd model, all as my first activation of the 4th turn).
I haven't got that much experience, and am still mainly using what I got in the starter set. Nino is awesome, as is Santiago (once you get him down to half health he shoots better then Perdita). I often use an executioner with my crew as I feel I lack combat capacity.
I have the Avatar, but as me and my group are still a bit noobish, we are yet to play with them. From what I have seen, she loses survivability but gains card control (I look forward to using her with Sue for total card control overkill).Currently own:Perdita, Dreamer/LCB, Zoriada, Collodi and Seamus. mostly playing Collodi
Bit of a noob to Malifaux but I love it!

I haven't picked up the Avatar, but Perdita is a lot of fun to play. I used the Companion ability to take out Sonia Cribb in one turn, which helped me out a lot. Also if you get Abuela you can Companion another model that's not part of the Ortega family.

Check the 'vox.
There's a great podcast on Perdita tactics the Aethervox made a month ago, Episode 15. I've listened to it three times trying to get a leg up on my main opponent, and it's helped tremendously!
Perdita's fast, can lock down a section with her "quick draw", and due to her range doesn't need to rush in recklessly. She can use those additional actions going into defensive stance or utilizing Obey to help the crew, while waiting for them to get in position. Her avatar is beautiful, but hard to get the requirements off vs me (Saemus crew).
Avatars interesting, Executioner when he connects is amazing, but the sleeper-hits have been the Guardian (on Santiago) and Pale Rider. Having that much speed, durability and power really makes me second guess my positioning.
Perdita can be pretty tricky, not just a point and shoot model. Also a good painting tutorial for her on YouTube

Perdita was my first master/box (though I quickly moved up to 6 total henchmen and masters across 2 factions shortly thereafter due to a solid Ebay sale or two), and is probably highest on my priority list to snag the Avatar should I find a good deal on her in the coming months. I don't use Companion much unless I suspect I need it to get clear of danger or that I'll need more than one model to take out a target, but I have yet to dedicate to a full blown alpha strike, so perhaps that's just something I (and my opponents) need to experience to really understand.
