can arcane effigy and casting expert be combined cast a 2 ap spell?

The card states you can use the +1 AP to cast or channel only. Obviously stating that it can be used with other ap to channel. Bump, so someone can close this please.

This is just another bump, I was hoping for official word on this two. I did hear a very convincing argument last night that as the +1 AP is a general AP that can only be used for casting and channeling, it could not be combined with the specific AP from casting expert, the same way you can not combine a general AP and the melee expert AP to charge. Just wondering if we could get a Yup or Nope from the RMs.

Folks, I don't think a bump will actually do much here. I am pretty sure that the Rules Marshalls have looked at this discussion, and will answer it in due time when they have a good answer.

Meanwhile, I suggest you figure out a local answer with your Tournament Judge or opponent before play.
