Somewhere in the mountains
Rasputina turned to face the silent one named Kayren, and stared into the black hole of her mouth. "What was that? The Mad Hatter sent a party invitation to me? And the party is for our shared birthday celebrations? We must respond."
Kayren nodded her head then made a few noises that could have been belching.
"What? No-no, I got this. Go tell the acolyte Kinni to find out where Seamus is hiding these days. We're taking a trip."

Deep in the Slums of Malifaux city
"Molly, dear, quit drooling and get ready for the party. We have lots to prepare. I haven't had a real party in decades. Unless you count the time I visited Miss Sybelle's comfy bordello. We'll need a cake and presents. And party favors for all the guests. You did remember to send out the invitations?"
Molly cocked her head and let the drool run down her chin.
"That's a dear, have we gotten any responses yet?"
The drool dropped from her chin to the dirt floor of the abandoned tavern.
"Oh? Our invitations didn't mention where the party will be? That's disappointing. I leave important considerations to you and you let me down. Fine, I'll deliver the new invitations, you go find a cake."

The Battle
25 Stones, Shared Deliver a Message:

Rasputina,
Silent One - Kayren
Acolyte - Kinni
2x Ice Gamin
Wendigo
7 Stones
Holdout/Bodyguard

vs

Seamus + Avatar
Sybelle
3 Rotten Belles
Copycat Killer
5? Stones
Holdout/Army of the Dead

The terrain was a slum board (terraclips) with a raised street forming a reverse L in the southeast corner with buildings forming a broken reverse 7 in the northwest corner and an open courtyard in the center with a message wall in the center giving some cover and breaking LOS. We had corners deployment so Seamus took cover in a building in the northwest corner while Rasputina set up on the raised street in the southeast her acolyte positioned in cover at the end of the raised street, where a ramp brought it back down to ground level.

Turn one saw the Belles and Gamin moving into position. Belles rushing the courtyard, while the Gamin took up defensive Statue positions and put up Bite of Winter along the raised street. The Belles had cover but had moved close and possible into range, so the Silent One moved up, cast Northwind and Freeze, which failed due to the cover -flip. One Belle was not in cover in relation to one of the Gamin, so Rasputina channeled a December's Curse in her face doing severe damage (and moderate blasts to the other two Belles) and triggering overpower for a second cast that managed only a weak damage. Thanks to Bite of Winter that was enough and the Belle died, whacking Rasputina with a Lure as she died. Rasputina's slow slow walk had her move only to the top of a flight of stairs at the corner of the reverse L raised street. For her final casting expert AP, Rasputina threw up Ice Pillers at the base of the stairs she had been lured to. Seamus and Sybelle started moving up behind the Belles. The Acolyte passed while the Wendigo redeployed.

Turn 2: Those ice pillers had the Seamus player moaning but planning his devious tricks. The Copycat Killer moved up and turned one piller into rubble, opening LOS up to Rasputina. The Silent One countered by throwing up Northwind and blasting a Freeze into the Copycat Killer. A Belle moved up and lured Rasputina a bit more than halfway down the stairs (the cool terraclip stairs allowing Rasputina to actually be positioned partway down the stairs). Rasputina responded by blasting that Belle with December's Curse, killing it and getting lured the rest of the way down the stairs and into the severe terrain of the destroyed ice pillers. Rasputina then ice mirrored through a Gamin another December's Curse into the other damaged Belle, killing it and getting Lured the rest of the way through the severe terrain. She finished by throwing up Ice Pillers in Seamus's face and on top of two of the recently made corpses. Seamus moved up and gathered the Copycat Killer's corpse, did some manifest requirements and brought back a Belle (using an ice-pillared corpse), summoning her behind the message wall in cover. Sybelle moved up, and the Gamin and Wendigo took various potshots at her putting down a few wounds. The Acolyte moved up and cast ??? on the summoned Belle to stop her from cheating. The Belle moved around the wall and attempted to lure Rasputina, failing.

Turn 3: Seamus spent a soulstone to redo his initiative flip but still lost. Rasputina took the opportunity to Biting Chill the newly summoned Belle down a few wounds then cast a December's Curse into her. This killed the Belle who promptly Lured Rasputina closer, but not enough for a melee strike. Rasputina then channeled a December's curse into Sybelle, killing her and dropping a few wounds on Seamus. The companioned Wendigo followed this up by dropping more Ice Pillars in Seamus's face. Now completely behind a wall of Ice Pillars Seamus got clever. He picked up Sybelle's corpse then used the second ice pillared corpse to raise another Belle in cover behind the message board, and shot the nearest Ice Pillar, destroying it. The Silent one took a few Freeze shots at the newly summoned Belle, also throwing up Northwind, but failed to kill her. The Belle then lured Seamus part way through the broken Ice Pillar. The Acolyte tried to harpoon the Belle but missed. A gamin, with line of sight, then focus shot the new Belle and flipped the red joker and a second severe, killing her. As her Slow to Die action she lured Seamus the rest of the way accross the broken Ice Pillar and poked him with her Parasol for good measure (but missed). The final gamin walked up to get closer to Rasputina (who due to 5 Lures was actually leading her crew from the front...).

Turn 4: Rasputina, looking at Seamus nearby but hidden behind a wall desparately attempted to soulstone her initiative flip, only to fail as Seamus did the previous turn. Seamus then Manifested, threw up his uber terror, dropped my WP and walked up to Rasputina, the Acolyte and the Gamin that had moved up. The Gamin activated first, cheating it's terror check with the one 13 in my hand (nothing else over a 9 that turn), and prompted delivered Rasputina's RSVP to Seamus. Then the Silent One activated and gave Seamus a Frozen Heart and Turned him into Ice, dropping his defense to 1 and disallowing disengaging strikes. The Acolyte then passed his trror check but ran away from Seamus anyway (since that direction was Seamus's deployment zone and the Holdout scheme). Rasputina also passed her terror check, walked back a few steps and threw a long string of Biting Chills into Seamus, taking off 3 wounds (after armor). She also accidentally blasted her own Gamin with a few December's Curses, as she tried to take down the monster of Seamus's Avatar form. To end the turn the Wendigo threw up an Ice Pillar wall between Rasputina and Seamus.

With no way for Seamus to deliver his message, kill Rasputina, get into my deployment zone and stop by Acolyte from making it to his, we called the game there.

Back in Seamus's Tavern
"What's this?" exclaimed Seamus as he emptied his hat of all the snow and icicles. "Hmmm, so she's accepted my invitation. I should ask her to bring ice for the beers. Molly, I have another task for you!"

Back in the mountains
"Dammit Kayren! This invitation doesn't say where the party is! Send Kinni to go find Seamus again! And while he's out looking, maybe he can pick up a few things for the party."
