Newcomer from Sweden!
Hello!
I´m a young wargamer from Karlstad in Sweden.
I´ve stumble across Malifaux late 2011, and decieded I wanted to try it out.
Been playing TCG and Warhammer for about 10 years, and this new way of playing
a cool skrimish game caught my attention!
I did order myself the core rolebook and 2 starter sets to try this out with one of my freinds.
However, life, girls and what-not got in the way, so not until now i´ve got around assembling them. So in the coming few weeks, I should have read the rules, and toss down a couple of demos on my unsuspecting freinds!
I have a couple of simple questions tho, while im at it.
1: I did noticed that there is a v1 and v2 on the cards. My Pandora box has v2, but my Colette does not. Anyway to get a hand on the rules, or preferable the cards?
2: After only browsing through the rules to get an idea what im getting into, I wonder, what is the "standard" amount of points people play?
3: I bought an Colette Show Girls box, and an Pandora, Legion of Sorrows box. Any tips and ideas how to expand upon those?
Thank you for you time!
And if you are in the nearby area, let me know;)
And thanks Wyrd for some awesome minatures!

Welcome!
Not every model has a V2 card so you don't need to worry about that (Cassandra should have a V2). You can check the official errata for any updates (http://www.malifaux.com/Fixes.php).
Most people play 30-35SS scraps once they've got to grips with things but while learning, 25SS games are good.
To expand Collette you'll definitely want a coryphee duet and mechanical doves. For Pandora I'd recommend Teddy as a good place to start. The Pull My Finger wiki has a full list of what to add first to the box sets and a full list of what each master can use.

Thank you for your quick response Guild Monkee!
So, I went down to my local game store and tried Malifaux out with one of my freinds.
It took us sometime to play a very basic game. This thing with many unique abilities and what-not on each charachter did take some time to get into, and understand, but it was great fun!
As expected, after reading the rules once again when I got home, we did a few misstakes, but this is to be expected. Better luck next time;).
However, the game was such an success, my freind ordered himself an box-set of his own and I did order expands for my boxes.
So, I do hope we will get the hang on this, and get more ppl playing!
One thing that struck me is the size on a suitable gaming table.
In the book it says 3´x3´ for scraps, but this seems huge!
Do you experienced folks play on 3´x3´or is there an "alternate" size that is recommended?

Nop, 3x3 is a good size for it, it does work, and both the crews you selected have the potential to be very fast so with your few extras for Colette the board size should be good for you when you get used to it. You can ofc try it on any size you like if you prefer, but 3x3 (36" x 36" ) is good. Its also great as the board is so small you can usually reach from one side to the other with out any problems

Also for Pandora i would add a totem, ether primordial Magic, or Poltergeist though my preference is the Magic.

Thank you for your kind response Ozz!
Okay, I will be going for a 36"x36" table, talked to my brother today (who is an carpenter), and he will help me build the board itself, so I can get to building terrain during my vacation later on.
Thank you for the tip on totems, but this raises a question.
What is a totem? Whats special with them?
I only got the core rule book, and can´t find totems in it.
I´ve ordered the 2 expantion books, so I do belive I will get to know soon, but some quick note on what they are about can be helpful.
Also, im wondering what Cassandras (+1Nimble) is. During our first game, we just played it as Fast.
A freind of mine is coming over tomorrow, for my second demo of this cool and interesting game. Any good at hand tips for demoing Malifaux?
Cheers!//E
