I dare say that everyone who played in any tournament last year had a blast. I don't remember hearing anyone walking away upset or anything. I even got annihilated in Round 2 of one game, and it was still fun!

With somebody like Nilus running the events, and other Henchmen helping out with things, we'll make sure then fun-factor is at the top of the list.LED Ice Pillars | WIP: Dreamer | Collodi | Kirai | Dead Justice

Yep, the first priority is to make sure everyone is having fun. There will be several Henchman Judges at working each event to help answer questions and keep the events flowing. Malifaux is still a very new game for a lot of people(It hard to believe its will only be turning 3 in August) so the skill level in any given tournament is going to vary a lot. Personally we are lucky because I find even the most hardcore Malifaux players to be generally very nice guys and gals so if you end up getting paired against them I am sure they will give you a fun enjoyable and educational game without to much brain beating.
Also its always worth the time to talk with the TO before the game begins and let them know your skill level and what you are looking for. There are times when we have some leeway in the pairings and can shift people around to make sure people will get the most enjoyable game.

Awesome. I had heard last year it was nice for newer player, but wanted to double check. I have heard to many horror stories of scummy players blatantly cheating/playing like jerks just because a new player dared to enter for fun.

Dan,
Will the strategies be posted before the con begins (like you did for Adepticon) or will they be announced before each round (like last year's Gen Con)?

I believe the plan is to get them posted here in the next few weeks. The lovely Neverata is doing most of the event pre-planning and I plan to bug her about it starting next week. Figure I wouldn't start bugging her much until after her team GT was out of the way.
Once I know more I will let you all know as well.
Edit: Also updated the numbers for the events. ONLY 3 TICKETS LEFT FOR THE MASTERS! Most events have less then 10 tickets left.Last edited by nilus; 06-27-2012 at 08:35 PM.
