Effigy or not?
Strange looking models and I have only just got book 3 so not really sure what they are all about.
Any use for my resser crew?ressers are the way to go, if only they made an undead panda

Too expensive, too fragile, doesn't do enough. People say "but look it can remove immunities" and yes, indeed it can, but the chances of it doing that in a meaningful or successful way are slim.
It's a useless model, unfortunately. We got the only completely useless effigy, the rest range from OK (Hodgepodge) to absolutely auto include amazing (Arcane).

The only real use I see for him is to hide near the back & use Horrific feasting. Sadly with Df 4 & 4 wounds he is far to frail to make good use of Diminished resistances. Chances are if he's within 4" on an enemy he's dead anyway.
He does bring a gun, but it's not terribly good. At 4 SS I'd rather have 2 desperate mercs or a rotten belle.
As calmdown said we got shafted on the effigy, the other 4 are just clearly better for the exact same cost. Between better Df, Wd & more useful abilities I have the model because I think it's really cool but it probably won't see play in anything but friendly games.Last edited by Dorian; 05-01-2012 at 08:48 AM.

I intend to try him with Avatar nicodem as I intend to have a tabletop full of corpse counters. I do not believe the removal of immunities ability will be useful very often though. But who knows. If he is safe in the death bubble and you are dragging people in with Dead Rider, he might be good utility.
Four points is pretty darn steep though. In the same scenario above, for a point more, there is a punk zombie flurrying on whatever got dragged in.
If he were Object 2 and maybe 6 inch radius on the immunity stripping. Maybe hard to kill?Last edited by Gruesome; 05-01-2012 at 09:11 AM.

Its a fantastic looking model. At 2 points we'll talk but at 4 no thanks
The immunity removal is highly situational and frankly not worth it in a majority of situations.
