reclaim malifaux
on the wording of "completely within"
That would mean that any large retain pieces that extend across zones can't ever be counted; correct ?
So houses, hills, forests etc. that often extend outside of zones a not valid. And depending on the table setup there might be a zone that just cannot be reclaimed.
Just want to make sure.

Yup, large pieces can't be reclaimed, unless you and your opponent agree to split them up beforehand (so a large hill counts as 2 pieces, and you could then even reclaim it in 2 separate quarters). When setting up terrain it should (nearly) always be possible to complete the scheme; if not, simply take another scheme.

We measure it when setting up terrain and agree on which pieces of terrain would be valid for a plant. But that's just the way we do it, it's in no way officially approved or anything.

Yeah, for Reclaim Malifaux, we always discuss beforehand what would or wouldn't count, and move terrain if it looks impossible.
