Outcast Vs. Zorida
Okay guys, I have a game coming up in the next 4 hours, and I'm 98% positive my opponent is going to be playing Zorida the hag. So my question is...
What crew should I take to beat her?? I know the crew is dependent on the strategy, but I can do small modifications later, I need to know what is best to beat her?
I read the wiki on how to beat her, but I can't think of any outcast crew!
Help!

Just off the top of my hand.
A Levi crew heavy on constructs should help against any obey shenanigans

Constructs arent immune to obey, only to morale duels. Immune to influence is what hurts her. Anything with high willpower also hurts. If you take a convict gunslinger dont let her get a clear line of sight to it regardless of range

Hmm. Well as a Zoraida player these are my thoughts on facing the Outcast crews;
Viktorias - Full of Glass cannons, which is great for Zoraida's Obey. At worst I need to keep Sword Vik away from Zoraida
So'mer Teeth - If I can conduit a Melee Lacroix like Ophelia or Fransisco then things are good. Otherwise I need to assasinate So'mer and do my best to plow through all those gremlins Honestly,
Ophelia - Obey Pere Ravage before Pere gets slung into explosion range of my crew. Then focus on killing the Slop Hauler/s followed by Zoraida.
Von Schill - Kill the Librarian ASAP or at least Hex away her heal spell. Then obey the Specialist to blow up his flamenwerfer. Von Schill is a problem if I can't keep my crew in soft cover or melee, but otherwise the rest shouldn't be too bad.
Leveticus - If Alyce is in play, conduit her and use her to shoot Levi, the Hollow Waifs and/or her own crew. Otherwise, use my superior mobility to take out the Waifs and avoid getting into Levi's Kill range...at least until I can kill him myself.
Hamelin - Curl up in a ball and cry... ;) Seriously though, I haven't had a huge amount of experience with Hammy but generally I'll be focussing on Nix, followed by Hamelin if I have enough power to kill the bugger off.
From my perspective, the toughest matchup would be Hamelin. After that a good Ophelia or So'mer player would give me a good run for my money. Wp4 might seem like a disadvantage, but their sheer numbers and non-resistable damage tricks can be a problem for Z. The Viks, Levi and Von Schill are crews I'm least concerned about - Zoraida has some decent tools for dealing with these.Ye Olde Malifaux Podcast - http://theaethervox.com/ Twitter Account - https://twitter.com/Dranthar

Don't take a friekorps specialist or Pere Ravage. Load up on stubborn models or ItI. If you take non-master melee beatsticks, be sure to put them somewhere without a charge arc on your own guys. If this isn't possible, put them in in melee range of other models (preferably ones you don't care about) and base block so that the Z player can't charge them at anything.

If I'm playing as Zoraida I will normally take something Big and Hitty in my crew that I can Obey, in case the opponent hasn't got anything worth Obeying or everything is immune.
So against her Hamelin - The Ratcatcher might just work. Do a bit of Counter-Obeying ftw...
Viks are very good as having two heavy hitters that can't be Obeyed is cool and it will really put the pressure on her. If she's running away she is not Obeying or creating new Voodoo Dolls
Lazerus looks cool, I2I and a big grenade gun, can't see anything wrong with that.
Then I would probably fill out with Freikorpsmann for numbers, You don't want anything thing that has high damage low defence, Freikorpsmann are tough but don't do huge amounts of damage so they are good objective grabbers, but don't suffer as badly from being Obeyed, especially with Stubborn.Last edited by Ratty; 04-27-2012 at 10:24 AM.

Great advice guys. Though when it came down to the battle, I ended up going with the viks (I know, what was I thinking?)
Here's a quick recap so I can get your thoughts on how it went...
Me-
Viks with avatar
2 Ronin
1 TTB
1 Trapper
1 Desperate merc
Opponent-
The hag
Tater tots x5 I believe
Desperate merc
the giant queen nephlem (I forgot the name)
Strategy was claim jump (shared). He took Body guard and Kill protege on the trapper. I had Body guard and nothing (so I could net 2 more SS).
He did his obey tricks on the trapper to get rid of him, but before he could kill my poor guy off with the poison (he had the voodoo doll crap attached), I got my viks to kill him off and deny my opponent the VPs for Kill protege.
A lot of moving around and obey actions on his part, but the highlight of the game was when I had a two mature nephlems, the queen nephlem, and another tot against my 1 vik (one died) and 1 ronin. I got my spell off to summon the other vik back, put up the avatar, and in 1 Melee swing, I was able to whirlwind bomb and kill off all of those models. Just 1 swing!
I ended up losing, but we both were able to admit, if there had been another turn, I would have easily demolished him. Was a good game.
