    Lilith and Transposition

Hello all, I've been playing Malifaux for a long time, now and am just making an account on the Wyrd website.

What are the best things to target with transposition. My buddies I game with, I can almost always count on facing Somr and Ophelia and some kind of Arcanist. The only advantage I seem to have on them (and yes, my buddies are unfortunately intelligent) is that I can see them and set up the transposition from behind terrain that they can't see me through.

A Terror Tot and Lilith herself. Get the Tot in position where it won't get shot. Then companion your Totem and Lilith, using the totem to Transposition. Then Lilith has three action to get into your opponents face.

Works especially well vs Gremlins as there's usually so many of them they have to clump together in their deployment zone, and they sure don't like having a Wicked melee lady one-shotting them when they try to disengage around. Just be vary of Ophelia.

Is that to say a cherub? No other totem really synergises with her well, right?

I've seen a lot about primordial magics being used with her. Are they able to cast Transposition?

And yeah, Ophelia's damage is crazy. He always tries to rush ASom'r... So it's kind of iffy to transposition into a slop hauler giving me 4def and Ophelia backed by som'r himself. Ya know?

Yes, Primordial Magic has the same Ca as Lilith and can cast anything she can. Plus it gives you an extra card in hand every turn. Draw 8 and discard 1 is a very good deal.

Yes, the Primordial Magic can cast transposition.

You're not really gonna be in a better position if you give the Gremlins time to spread out and manifest Som'er. I've done this with Lady J and I'm pretty sure Lilith can do it better. Well, it depends on strategies/terrain/deployment as well. But Lilith is generally your best bet at hurting them. Gremlins are better in the long run, you need to hit them hard and fast. If you find the Slop Hauler annoying you can use Lilith to transposition it to where your crew can kill it, like next to an angry Brood Mothered Nephilim.

So after transpositioning Lilith to the enemy, how do I get her out? Just charge in with everyone and try to kill the enemies?

Assuming you've transposed her to where the majority of the crew is within 2" of her, I would cast Alluring to lower all their Dfs by 2 (the majority will now be at Df3 to your Cb7) and do a Whirling Death with a strike on each of them where you are up by 4 to begin with and get a positive flip on dealing 3/4/6Dg, I like your chances for putting enough of a dent in Somer's crew that a pack of Tots could finish the job even if Lilith goes down soon after. That said, I've not tried it yet so this may be a terrible terrible idea, especially since Somer draws cards when gremlins die near him and heals the ones that don't. If you can somehow Transpose him with Lilith using your totem though, could be the best thing for it, or else just focusing on killing him straight away.
I certainly want to try and pull this off now, anyway!

Try transposing a tot or some other "expendable" minion with Ophilia. If she's "henching" for Somer she can't use soulstones to raise her def against your casting. While Lilith as well as her totem can use stones giving them the edge.

Remember its not just friendly's that you can transpose you could transpose other key models away from their synergies. you can even transpose two enemy models this is handy for breaking up companion chains.

On the Primordial... Its got the same casting and suits as the cupid. I tend to like the extra card it affords over the shooting that the cupid provides. I have been thinking of adding the arcane effigy along with cupid in avatar lists. (effegies don't cause neverborn masters to be unable to attach totems) to keep the extra card when Lillith goes all woodsy.

Henchmen always have the "use soulstone" ability, regardless of how there were hired. If you have a rules quote to the contrary, there's a lot of people who'd love to hear from you.

EDIT: Seeing as I was ninja'd, let me just state my concern for Lilith's health if she managed to get Som'er in melee, even without Ophelia.

Som'er can cause at least 6 wounds to Lilith bypassing her high Df with pull my finger, which will be extremely inopportune to soulstone away due to a possibility of wasting a high flip. If there's a gremlin alive next to Lil, he can just shoot it for blasts for a possible total of 9 Wd. That's within 1 Wd of a dead Lilith even without a mosquito or some other nastiness.
