Glad you guys had fun at Adepticon - someday I might come back there. But from this side I was very upset about the pictures we were judging from the online side of Crystal Brush. Some had pics front and back, multiple shots of different pieces in units - others had just the one shot. When clicking the screen to make bigger pics, you got the same sized pic. Very frustrating for an experienced judge. For that much money on the line, there should have been same shots for all, and better shots online to judge from!
IMMPS Rule #1: Friends don't let friends paint drunk. ehem. Friends don't let friends paint drunk, unless they are painting plaid. er...Friends who drink with friends must paint plaid.

I think that the Crystal Brush comp online judging portion would be greatly helped if they just gave us the first cut of models.

Edit: I apologize if any offense was taken at the "crappily painted models" remark. It's been a long few weeks and my inner grumpy face is coming out. :( I really just wanted to remark on the long process of judging online.

True. Not so much for the break, just to not have the due date be mid-week.

Actually, I am with you on this one. They can post all the entries but yeah, the 50% online judging score should just apply to the ones that passed the first cut. I don't expect to vote for hundreds or thousands of entries.

So I, too, apologize if I sounded offensive.

First thought that came in my mind when I saw that some entries has 1 shot and some has multiples was that "wow they are playing favorites". Because clearly those multi-shot photos only applied to the cool looking entries

I came to check theme for the Rd4 and maybe start painting something for the ITIC...
can we get the theme without the results of Rd3?

    I somehow doubt it...

but, if you like I'll give you a Round 3.5 theme for the ITIC:
    I'm bored
due date: by the time the results of the Round 3 are announced (which gives you about two years time...)

Breaks? I thought this was Iron Painter, not sort-of Iron Painter. I've got the last two models for my Hardcore list to finish for Lock 'n Load in addition to my painting competition entry which will be a War Hog that I'm going to convert the <dandelions> out of. It looks like I'll be travelling to both China and America on business for two out of the four weeks remaining and I'm going to lose my longest weekend to a tournament of out town. I'm roaring to get something together for the remaining IP rounds and I'm not even in the running anymore.

    Where's your iron folks?
