In swedish it's the end of something. Like in slutrea (end of season sale), slutboss (final boss in a video game) and my personal favorite: slutspurt (sprinting for the finish line at the end of the race).

Yep, you can use it in that way, although I think it'd be more correct to say that he's on his slutspurt.

I am done with my slutspurt (never expected to be saying that after being awake for 24 hours and painting for the last 9 or 10 of them) and have uploaded my entry. Good luck Magno. I really like your entry and it got me nicely panicked about mine, but I'm fairly happy with how it came out. One of these days I'll get my finger out and start my entry in good time. Although that would spoil my fortnightly fun. :D
