question about ice mirror

QUESTION - does rasputina need to be able to draw LOS to the miniture the she intends to use for the ice mirror ablity,?

she does not. It would say friendly model within 6" and LoS; or target friendly model within 6" if she did. It only says friendly model within 6".

Just a quick clarification. If Rasputina is in melee she can cast a gun symbol spell using ice mirror, correct? The model that its being cast through is now the source of the spell the way I see it, kind of like nicodems vultures.

I believe not due to the rules of page 41 concerning the gun icon. It says models in melee can't use range attacks. Ice mirror gives you no rule to actually get around the fact that your master is in combat. The last bit on Ice Mirror about not being able to use a range spell through a model engaged reflects that it is still Rasputina casting the spell. I imagine the vulture would have the same restrictions looking at its wording.
