Nice review of a very interesting new model.

I love the ability to discard a card, walk and still be able to take a 2 interact.

Can't wait to get my hands on one. (or lots!)

Thank you for reading, yes I cannot wait till they make the model. Not only is he great with Lucius but Avatar Ramos can summon them also (who I also play).

Playing Ramos, I am anxiously awaiting this model's release - just as an option to the LSPA. I'm going to have to pick up at least a couple when they finally come out.

nice review i was thinking of picking one up and now i will and didnt even think about its use with ramos

Yes it has to be Avatar Ramos who summons him, but Avatar Ramos is quite awesome! He could also summon watchers though they will be nearly dead when they arrive they could fly 8" per AP spent and they are significant!

wardens also look like they are a great excuse to get Hoff and Lucius in the same list, incase the Ryle madness wasn't enough

seems to me like the pursuit ability will get more use when you have 2 models that can make them shoot outside their activation.


Something else i wanted to try:

A while ago a list was posted up somewhere with the idea of taking Coppelius and a Performer/Mannequin duo with Hoff, to make the most of the poison gift ability.

Add a pair of Wardens, and you'll be paralyzing just about everything!

think it could work?

I am one of the few players that believes that Lucius can be very successful on his own actually. Not to say it couldn't work but i feel that the more stones i could be spending on minions i'm using on Lucius which makes the Hoffman list even smaller.

Though I will admit my main masters/leaders tend to be Sonnia or Lucius when i go guild because i am most familiar with them. So i can't really give opinions on the Coppelius in hoffman crew. It does add a random x factor that is not normally seen which could be a slight advantage because its not just ALL constructs.

On Performs/Mannequins they are quite expensive when hired out of the arcanist faction, so unless you have a very good reason to use them i would probably think twice about it. Not to say they can't be useful after all my "little miss muffet" ramos list uses a pair of them to great effect (have spider swarms paralyze...).

I would give it a whirl with some proxies unless you already own the models they may turn out to be a good combination. Like i said before I am not that familiar with hoffman or small crew playstyles so you may be onto something..
