I wish you the absolute best of of luck.
You can only take crooligans, necromancies, belles (rotte, sybelle, and dead doxy), and the two totems you have. She cannot have any other types of models
Crooligans are more for blocking objectives; you sit them on things, go into defensive stance with your smoke up, and hope for the best; they dont have enough actions to effectively teleport and attack.
What you really need is to find some way of generating corpse counters, and if you can't, you are a little stuck.
Use Molly's spell to sacrifice your totem to try and kill a target enemy outright, then summon the necrotic machine back.
Summon dead doxies, but start with belles.
I really cannot recommend Molly, as I feel she is the worst leader choice in the game, but best of luck!

yea, I've tried her myself as a leader and didn't have much luck. I see her as a replacement for seamus when he goes all avatar. She does things for the belles very close to what seamus does. Just my 2 cents

Yeah, unfortunately she got hit with the resser stick and is very,...inadequate. I've used her in most of my games since september and she's only once felt like she was worth her points. Most games you really wonder if you are getting 9SS worth of model out of her. It is one of my biggest, and it is big, disappointments of this whole game. I find myself saying what I said year after year after year when I played during the early days of L5R.
"Maybe the next expansion will help to make Scorpion competitive. Maybe the next. Maybe the next."
In this particular case it is Ressers, (not Kirai) and in particular Molly and Seamus. Maybe next expansion.

Has anyone tried all Crooligans?

My 2 games with her: Molly vs Keris, win. Molly vs Lilith, abysmal loss."Ideas are easy, execution is hard."

I've tried all crooligans; it didn't really do much. It was vs gremlins though so the spirit wasn't helping much

I've tried them a few times... they were exceptionally lackluster. If they are a niche use model I haven't found the Niche where the light hits them just right and they sparkle. To use them effectively as objective runners you need multiples, and at four SS a piece you need them to do more than just be hoppers. Maybe if the Mist was a zero action, but as it is the only purpose they serve is for people to get really excited over the painting on my girl Crooligan and go "Woah! What game is that? That model is awesome looking can I demo?" I conveniently never show them what they actually do.

They are too costly as objective runners, but they CAN guard things very well; like enemy destroy evidence markers

I'd disagree, far too suit and activation reliant to really be an effective defender. Add to the fact that even if it takes a model a little while to shift the Crooligan let's be honest, very few models that are going to be used for the purpose are going to be intimidated by the Crooligan's threat. Again they have uses, but I'd argue that they don't excel at any uses I've tried them for.

suits? suits only required for the spirit effect, which only resolves after the hit anyway so is too late to be of note. Df7 + bubble is the only reason to take them for covering objectives inside your side of the map.
It really is the only thing I can see them having any use for; nice that you can trade out the low health one
Edit: for clarity; the too late comment is regarding the fact that they are being targeted. Given weak damage is likely to be 1 or 3, it ends up being like paying a suit for armor 1, and the spirit removes itself afterwards.
3.5 or 4" mist would make them very nice.Last edited by Spiku; 03-08-2012 at 07:20 PM.
