    Greetings

Aloha, I'm gredgie (or Paul), had a Malifaux demo game on Wednesday night, found myself buying the rulebook, a fate deck and a Cult of December boxset Thursday morning.

Whilst I was the only other non-henchman person at the demo (aside from a few random onlookers, the others who were meant to be at the demo were tied up with work/mucho ill), there does seem to be a nice amount of interest in the game around the area which will hopefully mean I can get in on some regular games.

Aesthetically, Malifaux is awesome. I like how much effort has gone into it all, to make it a very flavourful world full of characters you want to learn more about.

Gameplay-wise the mechanics seem rather fitting. No doubt I require one or two more games to really get a grasp on the rules but learning the game has been a fun experience so far.

My demo game saw me leading the Ortegas (30SS worth as I recall) against the Showgirls and the henchman guiding me through the game was more than happy to answer all my questions. We ran out of time to finish the game, but I still saw a lot of mechanics in action as well as various abilities of both crews.

So with that, I look forward to getting into it all!

Welcome to Malifaux!! The Ortegas are aMAzing!

If are unsure about which faction you want to play, malifaux.com has a good break down of the different play styles (and they're fluffy too )

Feel free to ask any questions... we're all here to help... mostly ;)

Great to see another little group forming. Hopefully we'll have the chance to join up some of the south coast groups for some gaming at some point.
