    Painting decisions.

    2 chocies for the undercoat.

    1 White with black wash.

    2 Black with heavy white dry brush.

    Cant decide. What have you done?

    Black undercoat, with drybrush to the relevant colours from there.

    I've found that drybrushing gives a good, fabric-like effect. :smugpuppet1

    black, with white dry brush.

    after that i wash on the colors. goes quicker

    White & paint directly on that & wash very dark brown to give low lights.

    I find that the two yield slightly different results and you have to consider what your aiming for in the end.

    What are you undercoating? what final finish do you want. both are valid.

    Step 1: spray completely black in several light coats.
    Step 2: spray white from a high angle to taste.

    Or:
    Step 1: Spray white in several light coats.
    Step 2: Apply dark washes liberally, use a brush to make sure it doesn't pool anywhere too much.
