puppet scenarios
Hey all,
So i just got done playing a couple of the special scenarios in the pattern book. Oh man were they fun. Like crazy epic fun.
I was thinking that since this alternate play style was super fun and viable it would be cool if we had a thread where we could post any custom scenarios the community comes up with. I don't have any right now but hopefully i will come up with something and post it. I encourage any one else who might come up with a viable scenario to post too. Don't be shy, if it's not perfectly balanced so what? these arent official, they are just suppose to be fun.
so let's get some stuff going.

Well i still don't have a scenario but here is a great map to play "Tag your it" on

We had an epic battle. In the end Pokey vik was about to kill Joss and take the then have all the tokens monopolized and enemy puppets severly weekened. Then Joss dodged with a 13 mask. Good thing Viki had a 13 and a mask in her hand btu wait SHE DREW THE BLACK JOKER and then she was it...DITA Construct *heart*!

Finally came up with a couple!
Scenario Test 1: Kill the bunny.
puppets don't like bunnies. So if they think something is a bunny they fly into a rage and try to kill it. One can only assume they are jealous of it's inherent cuddlyness.
Rules: Place one "bunny" counter in the center of the board. A puppet may use a free action to pick it up.
Bunny counter: A puppet carrying this object may not sprint and gains stumpy legs if that puppet does not already posses it.
Win conditions: The game is over when someones master dies or when one master no longer has any benches. The player with the "bunny" Token wins the game.
Scenario Test 2: Spirited away.
Who doesn't like magic explosives?
Place two terrain tokens 2 squares from the center square. These tokens do not hinder movement and do not block line of site. Each marker will produce one "firecracker" token. Each time a firecracker token is used place a new firecracker token on each terrain peice assuming it does not already have one on it.
Magic Firecracker tokens:
Masters may not pick this object up.
If a puppet is holding this it gains the following action:
(1 + destroy this token) This pupet and all adjacent puppets suffer one rip. if the puppet holding this object is torn apart as a result of using this action place it back in your toybox with a "spirit" counter on it.
Spirit token:
If a puppet has this counter on it it gains the following abilities. A puppet's stats cannot be reduced to a negative amount as a result of this token:
-This puppet loses any suit it has in it's Animation requirement and gains
. This suit may not be ignored by a master's ability.
-Attack -3
-Defense +3
-This puppet may not suffer more than one rip as a result of an attack.
-This puppet may not pick up tokens.
-When this puppet is torn apart remove it and it's upgrade from the game.

Playtested kill the bunny today. Added a few restrictions to the object. Also this game is best with 3-4 players.

Here is another one: long time in the waiting
Restrictions: No masters and no matter what the size only one sidekick.
Special rules: Each player chooses one pawn ( random or otherwise, maybe have your opponent pick the puppet?) That pawn is now considered your box's master puppet.
That puppet gains the following:
(Free): my what pretty buttons you have.
An extra stitch
The master allows you to ignore whatever suit they have in their animation cost when animating a puppet. If there is no suit the AR of other puppets is reduced by 1.
loses upgrade: replace with, your masters dead you lose :P
and one of the following determined by a flip:
Smarty Pants: range 3: make an attack on target puppet at skillful -1. That puppet gains a confused counter
popular: When an attack or action is made against this puppet flip a card before the action/attack. If that card is even the attack/action fails because the other puppet is starstruck! if the card is odd, the acting puppet may flip an additional card for the action/attack.
Throw the book at them!: This puppet gains a range 2 powerful +1 attack at skillful -1. (it's a book, not exactally a precision insturment
: unstiched: This puppet gains built of strong stuff and adds a crow to it's defense.
