A Question for the Rules Marshals
I was just curious if there was supplementary rules materials that you guys have. Like in M:tG there is the rule book that is like 20 pages (it has been awhile since I have played it might be a pamphlet at this point), and then there are the Rules which reads like a bill from congress at this point with all the intricate workings of the game. I was sort of curious with what goes into making a ruling. I know some stuff has been asked a lot, so that is more of less rote, but are other things sort of more gut feelings and experience in play, or do you have mechanics behind the decisions that are more expanded rules sets then in the Rules Manual?

Why would compressive rules to an intricate game with many interacting and unforeseeable situations be needed?

The same reason the rules discussion forum is needed.
And it would save people having to search through there and finding old, outdated rulings.
Also, for the record, we are trying to get something similar on Pull My Finger (the Malifaux Wiki). We're trying to list as many of the important erratas/clarifications as possible and keep them up to date. Feel free to help out.

Comprehensive rules are comprehensive. The rules manual is nice and all, but comprehensive rules would be the size of book 1, replacing all the fluff and art with rules.
Your average player doesn't need comprehensive rules. 90% of MtG players probably don't know they exist. Regardless, it would be nice to have as it makes rulings more consistent if there is a resource that specifically outlines every rule in minute detail. While the rules manual gives a working knowledge of the system, comprehensive rules would clearly define every rule.
