Any reason to buy Puppet Wars now or later

As the title says............are there any benefits to buying the complete puppet wars now or should I just wait another month or so and buy them booster by booster?

Reason I ask is right now I have about $900 + purchase list and need to know if I should just hold off on the puppets? Do you get free minis or anything?

EricJ has said that if you buy it during Gencon weekend there are some bonus items you get

If you buy the main box set you get a Pokey Victoria

If you buy at least 3 Boosters you get the Hooded Rider.

Both will be available later in future expansion but those could be months away.

I'm still swaying between buying a few puppet wars models over Gencon (mostly to paint and as proxies for Zoraida) and waiting a few months to clear my painting table before I get into them. The bonus models that come with buying them at gencon will be available later on anyway, and while I do want the game, my current priority is with Malifaux. So unless they make a special deal with those puppet teddies, I don't see alot of reason to buy them ASAP.

Yeah, all the puppets hit the shelves in September except those two. No idea when the wave with them is scheduled.

Personally, I think Viktoria is well worth it, at the least. She's pretty awesome.

Are you planning on playing it right away, paint the minis or show it off to friends back home an bathe in their envy? Then grab it.

The previous years I've gone to GenCon I've dropped massive funds and found that I didn't use or touch half of the loot till months or a year later.

This year, I'm making only "necessary" purchases.

Another good point Mango....I do not plan on painting them till maybe mid-September. But as someone mentioned before about making it really worth my while to pre-purchase the thing, I may hold off. The bonus minis that you get with the deal right now you can get anyway in a later release. I think unless something exclusive is released with it, I'll hold off from it.

Sh****************t. Are you picking up loot for a store?
In that case, I think you can drop 3 or 4 crew boxes and pick up puppet wars.

Really; for $750 you can pick up 10 full crews or all the minis for ~2.5 factions, unless you're playing 80SS brawls.

Seriously, if its all for Malifaux stuff, then get Puppet Wars.
