Help needed - getting back into 'faux
Hey guys/gals,
I've been out of touch with Malifaux for about 9 months or so now and I'm not sure where things are rules wise. So a couple of questions for you:
Q#1. I know that there's now a v2 of cards, so I'll need to upgrade my crew cards. Can I just buy them from Wyrd directly?
Q#2. And I have the original rulebook, the rising powers book and the old FAQ/Errata's printed out. Do I need to buy the little rulebook?
Has much changed in the game in the last 8 months or so?
Any guidance/help you can provide is much appreciated as I stumble around looking for the light switch.

1. yep .50 $ each pick up all you need at once and a box set of something new and the new rulebook would be my suggestion
2. nope you don't have to... but at 15$ it is really a steal and they did a great job. While not much has changed in the last 8 months that I can think of (i've really gotten into Malifaux in that time period so I am likely not the best person to ask about this part) the mini rulebook is GREAT for pulling all the errata and such together.

The mini rulebook superceeds all the errata that was released before, it tidies up a lot of things and has some really good explanatory diagrams.
With the v2 cards you can also download them from here (just check the left side panel) so you can see what changes have been made, some havent been changed at all and some are minor while others are quite extensive. A lot of it is just consolidating the errata that was preiously out.
As far as change goes in the past eight months, everything just seems to be getter bigger and better in the Wyrd community and more Rising Powrs models have been released.

Cool. Thanks guys!
So the new mini rulebook has ALL of the newest errata's/FAQ's in them correct?
I've taken a (brief) look at my friends copy of it and I thought it was pretty nifty with cool pics and diagrams really going in depth on the rules and clarifying things.
Hopefully my LGS doesn't sell out of the book before I can get there tonight...

The mini rulebook has all errata since it's print date (February 2011, I believe). Some errata has come out since then, but mostly for specific models anyway (The Dreamer, Hamelin).
