Nix in a victoria crew?

just a quick one before I get a nix model and could not find a resolved section for this.

It says that nix can only be hired by crews containing a hamelin (of any type) and minion hamelin is a merc so can be hired by anyone including victoria whom can only hire mercs in a small game. Now Nix is not a merc so can she hire him in a small game or not? and can any other faction hire him as he is not a merc even if they have hamelin the minion with them.

just want some clarification that's all.

As far as I know The Viks can't take Nix - their hiring requirement to only hire Mercs trumps all (they also can't hire any Ht1 models using Hamelins other ability).

Outside of The Viks, I am not so sure... I think Kirai can take both Hamelin and Nix.

As is Nix can only be hired by Hamelin and Kirai (with Hamelin the Ratcatcher) in Scraps.

Both Von Schill and Viktoria only accepts Mercenaries.. :/

alas no Nix for me then, shame he seemed quite fun to try out and am a big fan of hamelin (minion) in my vic crews.

Hamelin the ratcatcher has an ability which allows one Ht1 model to be hired from any faction. Unless I missed something, most crews can hire nix by that rule

My Nix card says Ht 2, but maybe it's a typo.

Nix is height 2 and on a 40mm base, also as discussed earlier the vics special rule to only hire mercenaries seems to have taken precedent over hamelins hire ht 1 model rule. Might pic nix up for a brawl at some point but not right now.
