Chatroom?

Any way we could set up some sort of chatroom, or even set up one and link it to a thread in the forums? I've love to chat with more of you folks these days!

IRC is always an easy choice.

Hell, I'll just create a #Malifaux room right now, idle, and see who joins in.

I know there's plenty of java-IRC clients and whatnot, and for everyone doing Windows I guess there's the dreaded mIRC.

Server: irc.darkmyst.org
room: #Malifaux

Quick how-to:

If you know what IRC is, by all means, join it.
If you don't know what IRC is, I shamelessly assume you use Windows and suggest you head to mIRC and download it.
Once that is installed you need only select the Darkmyst server or add irc.darkmyst.org into the server information section. After filling in the required fields such as nickname join the channel #Herdstone.

If you have any other queries regarding the use of IRC it may be useful to consult the Darkmyst website here or for other general queries feel free to PM me or whatnot.

I'm not the most knowledgeable person regarding chat rooms. Would I need mIRC to join that room, or is there an alternative?

Updated my first post a bit.
mIRC is probably the best way to get started, yeah.
There are, however, plugins for firefox, free java clients and whatnots to use, if you don't want to download strange stuffins.

I used to use Pidgin to access forums It nicely combines all the comunication stuff so I don't need 14 programs for AIM, ICQ, Mirc etc etc etc.
