New Eureka Releases
28mm Warrior Frogs & Turtles

The ancient amphibian martial tradition continues! Kosta has added plenty of new frogs to his existing 28mm Warrior Frog range and augmented them with those well know frog auxiliaries (and sometimes enemies) – the turtles and terrapins.
With these new releases frog fans can now form specialist units like the infamous Mallet Squads (just the thing for dealing with the shells of those turtles and terrapins when they get rebellious). You can also create the effect of serried massed ranks of frogs, drawn up in line of battle, or marching up from the lily pond in long winding columns by using our new standing at the ready or marching frog poses. For a more aggressive look, codes 100FRG10 and 11 will provide the front ranks of your frog pike blocks with a suitable ‘hedge-hog’ of pikes appearance. And at the centre of this host, surveying his slimy minions, we have the majestic Frog King, resplendent and imperious on his litter.
The turtle and terrapin auxiliaries come equipped with bow, musket, and spear, and include a specialist sniper team to lurk in the bulrushes. There is also a drumming team and other turtle / terrapin command figures to complete the picture.
As some of you may remember from the launch of this range, the pictures that originally inspired Kosta to make these miniatures were the work of 19th Century Japanese artist, Kawanabe Kyosai. Kyosai was a traditional Japanese artist, but he was not above occasional divergences into more unusual and even mischievous subjects. In an apparent attempt to satirise (and even shock) contemporary Japanese society he painted pictures depicting rival samurai clans as frogs, turtles and other anthropomorphic creatures, locked in traditional samurai battle scenes.

28mm Toy Soldiers

nspired by the traditional toy maker’s art Mike Broadbent has made a complete range of ‘peg’ soldiers for our Toy Town range.
The range includes two types of infantry, in shako or Busby, with each of these types available in either marching pose, or standing at attention - according to your preference. Busby or shako wearing command figures (officer, drummer, and standard bearer) in marching pose or at attention are also provided. The cavalry have been divided into shako wearing ‘lights’ and helmet wearing ‘heavies’ – all riding their distinctive Toy Town mounts, and these too can be supplemented with appropriate command figures. There is also an artillery set, mounted officers / generals, and even some defences in the form of a building block barricade to take cover behind (the latter can be used for all our Toy Town ranges – such as our 28mm Teddy Bears). All they need is a nice bight, glossy paint job.
For those seeking something a little more mentally stimulating Mike Broadbent has turned a selection of these miniatures into a delightful Toy Town chess set. The set includes all 32 figures required to make up the set and each figure comes with its own chess piece base to mount the finished figure on. All you have to do is decide which eye-catching, contrasting colour scheme you want to paint them in and provide a board to play on.

Neat idea but horrible pictures, particularly the top ones which seem to be lost in the white glare.

Got some Eureka stuff from Fighting 15s in the UK recently, very well cast.
Strange that you don't see much Eureka stuff as it's very well sculpted and original....

Thanks for the offer. But maybe it's a sign I should not buy more miniatures (let's see how lomg I can keep that up ;) ) I do have a creditcard... but I'm a bit carefull in using it. I just got it for my trip to the US and never used it besides that (and even that led to the number ending illegally in a computer somewhere and me needing to get a new one). I never used it for online buying. not sur if I even can.
