You can get Master's Brush Cleaner at most art stores, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, in the US.
Similar stores likely carry it overseas. Plus, it's pretty cheap and works great.

If you can't get in good spray priming conditions i have had good results from vallejo and the old GW brush on primer. It is a little easier IMO than moving heaven and earth to fake good outdoor...

Great idea on the bead lamps. your test lamps look pretty good as is, even if you are not able to find longer beads.
