Collodi is very solid and dangerous but there are a number of good counters available to every faction. He's never risen to the level of pre-errata Dreamer or Hamelin in terms of wrong-ness.

you can use the crew creator from the main malifaux.com page to answer most questions of "does x work with y" nature.

Molly and Lucius are probably the weakest henchmen and least capable to run as masters. Collodi, Schilly, Kaeris, and Ophelia are all capable though.
