Malifaux - Rasputina - Crew

Malifaux - Rasputina - Crew

Are you willing to risk your life for a chance at great wealth and power? It's your only weapon in a world rife with monsters, necropunks, man-machine hybrids, gunslingers, and power-hungry politicos. In Malifaux, you lead your Crew in the battle for control of the Breach, a portal between Earth and a world of limitless magic.

Malifaux is a character-driven 32mm tabletop miniatures game. Players collect, build, and paint models representing the denizens of Malifaux, pitting these models against one another in groups called Crews for control of the precious resource known as Soulstones.

A Crew is usually made up of 7 to 10 models that belong to one of the game’s 7 Factions. Every Crew will be led by a single Master, a powerhouse on the battlefield with a great fate before them. The other models in a Crew range in power from mighty Henchmen down to lowly Peons, but every single model has something special it brings to the table. These special abilities and actions are represented on the model’s stat card.

Malifaux players use decks of cards called Fate Decks to resolve game events such as attacking and spell-casting. Players can manipulate the cards they play to alter the outcome in a process known as Cheating Fate. It takes a shrewd leader to effectively utilize a Crew's resources, ensuring he or she always has the tools needed to get the job done.

The game is not won and lost by sheer force, however. Malifaux is a game of strategies and schemes, and Crews have multiple avenues to approach victory. Each encounter has a single strategy to accomplish, but players are also able to pick 2 schemes out of a list of 5 random ones, offering new combinations for each game. What’s more, in Malifaux you hire your Crew after you know the victory conditions, allowing you to always bring the best models for the job.

Be prepared to fight to the death because Malifaux is the end of the line!

To play Malifaux, you’ll need a copy of the rules, some models and their stat cards, a deck of cards per player, a tape measure, and some terrain. You may also find it useful to have some counters to keep track of various game effects.
