I am attending a 30 ss (60ss limited pool) tournament next month and have pondering lists to run for it.
I usually play Ressers and Neverborn, but want to try something different. I recently picked up all of the Ten Thunders masters and was going to try them but I found it a nightmare to come up with a fixed list for them – all of the masters are so different!
After all of this I have decided to settle on Arcanists, in particular Colette and Mei Feng.
The tournament consists of 4 rounds with strategies chosen by the TO from:

Contain Power
Treasure Hunt (Gaining Ground variant)
Land Grab
Slaughter (Gaining Ground variant)
Line in the Sand (Gaining Ground variant)
Master of the Hill

I have been mulling a collection of models which I could run, and was looking for some opinions. They are:

As you can see, each list (except perhaps the fourth) is made up of what seems to be two separate 30ss lists. I think each list has merit and I could construct a crew from each for any of the strategies, but I was wondering which people thought was the better list and if I should consider anything else? I have Kang (although better in Ten Thunders I have found), gunsmiths, soulstone miners and rail workers which could be included.

Fun Facts:
There has never been a promotional Arcanists model. Nor has there been a promotional Ten Thunders model, but that's not as surprising.
As of GenCon 2013, every promotional crew box has been dual-factioned. Furthermore, every promotional crew box has included the Ressurrectionists as one of those factions. (Assuming the rumours I've heard about Tara being Outcast/Ressurrectionist is correct.)

Special thanks to sondermann and Commisar for doing a lot of this work already in years passed, Mike3838 for reminding me of the EBO models (sidenote: anyone interested in parting with theirs?) as well as the many people that have made notes about these things in the past. I hope that I haven't missed anything obvious. In any case, if you have information to add, please let me know!

Finally, Wyrd, I'd love to see Carver again in some form, even a different one. Just saying. Maybe a scenario release, like University of Transmortis? Maybe a holiday collection, with a Krampus?

I recently purchased and assembled all the new Yan Lo models (boxset + Yin + Toshiro + Izamu).

The problem I'm having however comes primarily from crew selection for Yan Lo.

The following is my 'main' 35ss list, so what that means is bar strategy/scheme purposes this is the way I run the crew:

Yan Lo - 5ss Cache (3ss spent on Ash prior to game)
Soul Porter
Toshiro
x3 Ashigaru
Izamu

Now, the problem I am having is I don't really know how to alternate from the above list tbh and so I would love some examples of models that can be used along with Yan Lo (preferable with an example of how they would be worked into a 35ss list.)

I guess what the problem is, is that the above list is themed and everything is designed to work well together, so I have a hard time figuring out what to drop.

Now, I know some of you hate recommending models or lists in a vacum and always argue that its all strategy and scheme dependant, so I would really appreciate help and guidance for a tournament I am taking part in a few weeks and in which I am using Yan Lo.

The tournament has the following format:

3 Rounds, fixed shared strategies, fixed faction, x2 schemes per round, each scheme can only be used once:

1. Round 1 - Gaining Grounds Land Grab
2. Round 2 - Gaining Grounds Line in the Sand
3. Round 3 - Contain Power

I don't think my 'main' list suits Rounds 1 & 2 but I think will do excellent in round 3, but as i said earlier, unlike every other rezzer master I own (everyone except Nico) I just haven't seemed to be able to dial in to crew selection options available to yan lo outside heavy use of ancestors and ashigaru. Its even worse in the sense that I have a hard time even figuring out when and how to include the ancestors Yin and Chiaki as Toshiro and Izamu always seem easier and better choices for what they do.

Also, scheme advice would be welcome as I've only played a couple of games with Yan Lo and have pretty much stuck with Bodyguard and either Breakthrough, Hold Out or Stake a Claim (I've never failed a bodyguard on Yan yet lol).

Any, and all help would be really appreciated. I own basically every rezzer model their is, all the mercs that rezzers use (desp, convict, von schill, amo no zako etc), so model options arent a problem, I just don't know what else to choose lol!
