After thinking about my Seamus army for a while, I've decided that it needs some more close combat power; as Seamus usually stays close, but I try not to engage him in combat, that .50 Flintlock is too amazing... Anyhow, I thought I'd look at the Punk Zombie profiles, and decided I'd like to have two or three of them in my collection. However, I do not like the models. I'm not certain why, I guess it's because they don't fit (theme wise) with the rest of my army (mostly dogs, belles and dead miners), and I was wondering if anyone knew of any other alternative models, preferably from WYRD (not sure if that's supposed to be in caps or not...) as they have some really great models (Punk Zombie excluded). I'm not 100% against conversions, but I have horrible modeling skills, and would like to keep conversions simple if existent at all.

So if anyone has any ideas about what models I should be looking into, please link me to a picture. I really appreciate any help.

Thank you
-TheMonster

PS: I know I'm being very (very) picky about what models I want to use, but I'm OCD about getting my models theme to match.

Hey all

I have an idea for a Malifaux story and it involves the Ten Thunders, a little influence from Kirai (as in her origin), plus a large bit of Japanese reference.

I'm trying to remember who Ten Thunders are, as I remember the Twisting Fates stroy where Misaki fought against a rival clan, can't recall if they were both a part of the Ten Thunders or what.

I'm mainly interested in looking at daily routine and attitude to ("real") medicine, with other extra details that would help to add authenticity to the story. Also interested in the relation between masters and servants in a household.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers =]

Hello everyone I have a few questions that feed off of one another.

1) Does the slow that is caused by Hoffman's Tap go away in the end phase (I assume it does as it does not list a duration). If it doesn't, does that mean he keeps the + 1 AP?

2) Can Hoffman use Tap on an activated construct? If so does this cause any issues?

Thanks

Hello all,

I'm rather new to the forums and Malifaux in general. I have a Hoffman set and a Hamelin set (but don't blame me for that; I didn't know the hype when I got it :P), and I've only ever played against Von Schill and Ramos.

Anyway, my friend, another Malifaux newbie, wants to use the Dreamer, after learning about its scarygood quality in-game. The person I was playing against with Ramos, who is more experienced than either of us combined, told him and I that there is a "baby" Lord Chompy Bits (named after the pose he makes; "Daddy pick me up!"), and a special HUGE Chompy.

I have been trying to find a decent pic of "Daddy Chompy" for a good while since, and haven't found a thing. Anyone know what I am talking about, and/or has pics of this?

Thanks in advance!

First of all hello, I am a bit new to Forum as large as this so I apologise if this post has already been made or is in the wrong place!

My queery is concerning the Guild Hounds, "Guild Kennel" rule, this rule claims that I am given an additional Ss for every 2 Guild Hounds hired at the start of the encounter, but it also says that the maximum number of Ss rule applies.

If I am reading the henchman rule correctly in a 35ss game when I take Lucius (a henchman who gives an additional 4ss) I will then have 39ss to spend on units. But this means the maximum number of Ss lucius can take is 4.

So does this mean that due to the fact that I take lucius means that the Guild Kennel rule does not apply?

Much appreciate any help and if anyone knows how to change your profile picture aswell that would be handyy, sorry bit of a noob!

much obliged

So last night I was playing a game and was hit by a model 3:meleeaway. If I hit my Eye for an Eye trigger can I attack the model back even if it's farther than my 2:melee? I seem to recall there is a precedent for this in one of the shooting minions that gets to shoot back at models as a Df trigger (Convict Gunslinger maybe?) even if the original target is outside the models Rg. Not sure if he had an exception built into the language or not though.

Am I on happy pills? Am I imagining the whole thing? Can Kirai attack back at models outside her melee range?

I posted this in another thread for the sake of being neat on the forum, but on second thoughts its probably better to post it a separate thread.

I currently have a 25ss Zoraida-Collodi crew:

Zoraida, the Hag -- 5 Pool

Collodi [8ss]

Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Wicked Doll [3ss]
Wicked Doll [3ss]
Wicked Doll [3ss]

Moving to 35ss I have no real idea what to add, this is the list I feel most confident with:

Neverborn Crew 35ss List A

Zoraida, the Hag -- 5 Pool
+ Zoraida, Avatar of Fate [2ss]

Collodi [8ss]

Arcane Effigy [4ss]
Insidious Madness [4ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Wicked Doll [3ss]
Wicked Doll [3ss]
Wicked Doll [3ss]

My reasoning is for the Insidious Madness to deal with Immune to Influence models, the effigy is there to boost Zoraida. I feel that at 35 points I should probably have a good target for Zoraida to Obey in the absence of suitable enemy models.

The other list ideas I've had are:

Neverborn Crew - 35ss - List B

Zoraida, the Hag -- 5 Pool

Collodi [8ss]

Convict Gunslinger [6ss]
Coppelius [9ss]
Insidious Madness [4ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]

and this:

Neverborn Crew - 35ss - List C

Zoraida, the Hag -- 8 Pool

Collodi [8ss]

Convict Gunslinger [6ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Mature Nephilim [10ss]

Finally this:

Neverborn Crew - 35ss - List D

Zoraida, the Hag -- 6 Pool

Collodi [8ss]

Arcane Effigy [4ss]
Insidious Madness [4ss]
Jack Daw [10ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]
Marionette [2ss]

I have a feeling none of these are really competitive, that I'd be better off to eschew the Collodi angle or embrace it with Doll only models. I do like the synergies with Jack Daw and an Insidious Madness, but I can only fit it in by cutting Collodi down to just the Marionettes.

Hi,

I have had a game yesterday and i played against ramos and his arachnid crew and i had necro punk. We don't use climbing to often but we check the rule manual and we saw something that we did'nt notice before.

Arachnid state that they can Climb impassable terrain and that they ignore severe terrain. But then we check Climable terrain are not Severe but that you use 2inch to move 1ht of the terrain.

So if i understand properly even arachnid need to use 4inch of movement to get up a ht2 wall.

Am i Correct
