F.A.I.L. Gamers (http://forums.failgamers.com/) is pleased to announce (albeit with short notice) a class all about making some kick ass Ice Pillars.

TheBugKing and I have been planning this one behind the scenes since Gen Con, maybe even before that. Well, it's finally time to announce the details. Again, sorry for the short notice, guys and gals.

The class will be on Black Friday, November 27that the Hobbytown in Frederick, MD (http://www.htufrederickmd.com/) (please follow the link for the address). The class will be free, but you'll need to provide your own materials. It's going to be pretty easy to buy way more than you'll need, so splitting materials with someone else is certainly an option. I'll probably have more than enough of everything other than the 50mm bases, so if you're interested, PM me.

TBK is going to be teaching a method for making extremely realistic looking ice terrain. Anyone thinking about playing Rasputina will want to check this out. This is also a great tool for making some awesome pieces of icy terrain for a great snow table. TBK is going to be teaching a technique for getting ice like you can see here (http://senjistudios.com/?p=875)* and here (http://senjistudios.com/?p=956)*.

Here's the list of ingredients you'll need for the class.

2 50mm bases
1 roll of wax paper (One roll for a group of 12 or so is good. More and we will need more per multiple of 12)
Smallest box of Envirotex Light by PourOn. Or similar 1 to 1 two part epoxy resin. Envirotex is the best
Blue ink. Real ink, not GW washes.
White Ink Same as above. You can find the stuff at art stores.
Milliput or Greenstuff
Medium Talus (Or sand)
Earthy paints
Snow Flock (baking soda will also work)

TBK will also be looking for some Malifaux games, so bring a crew and throw down. There might even be a shiny new table arriving with him ;))

I know this one is late notice, but this is just kinda when things all finally came together. If you're in the area and you're not spending all day shopping on Black Friday, come on down. We'll be starting sometime between noon and one o'clock.

I'll be doing an article for Wyrd Chronicles on the floating bases I think.

Of course you could just hit up MVM or AoM for the lowdown.

Also, thanks to the F.A.I.L. guys for letting me do this. It was a lot of fun to do and I'm happy so many folks showed up!
