Hi!

I'm Sven, some of you might know me from cmon :) I thought this would be a good time to say hi. I'm quite happy that I managed to take a joined 2nd/3rd!

Unfortunately I finished the entry the night before deadline.. so my pictures were a bit poor from shooting without natural lighting. I took some new ones the day after (adding some green glazes too), so here they are. Annoyingly I have gotten a speck of dust on the sensor of my camera, I have cloned most of it out on the first pic. It looks crap, need to fix my camera.

It's for my growing Dirz army, painted/based in maybe 12-14h. I think there were some questions in the comments.. so here is the right place to ask them. :)

Thanks to those who voted for me, and all others too! ;)

Cheers, Sven

Congrats Sven on your win :)!

What sand are you using for your bases? It seems smaller than what I can get my hands on.

Any chance we could see a group pic of your Dirz army?

Cédric, I don't know where Sven has got his sand from, but a good place to get any type of basing material is Antenociti's Workshop. I would give you a link, but I'm too lazy ATM, and you only have to google it anyway! ;) Their stuff is excellent and not very expensive either! Very recommended.

Back on topic, I love this entry! In fact I seem to have voted on it! :D It's a perfect scheme for this type of creature. I love the oily looking metallics. I bet your Conf. army will look bloody fantastic once it's completed!

You're welcome! Try their Base Boxes some time! Incredible value for the money! Their sand is indeed very fine.

Thanks! :)

I got the sand from my mom. She got it surrounding some sort of decoration candle... So it might also be available from a gift-shop. Otherwise you could try Anders link :)

I'll second that!

I look forward to seeing this one in real life :)

Welcome to the Wyrd. :D

I've got no clue what the back story is on any of the Rackham stuff but I do like this miniature, very scary looking and it has a nice gritty feeling and a Rackham look I've come to associate with their studio releases. Good stuff.

Oh, you'd like this ;)! Imagine mad scientists trying to make perfect creatures with mutagenic substances, cross breeding, and dark powers.
