First of all, thanks guys for voting on my miniatures and all the great comments.
They placed... all three of them YAY :dancing2:

Which ones were mine? I wonder if people have guessed right.

First of all Ramos, done up as a Victorian steampunk Sherlok Holmes. I love that figure, pretty much my current wyrd favorite (though I know some that are still to come, so i might change my view shortly on that ;) Wyrd is getting better and better... nuff said ;))
Some questioned his Tostesterone amount. I personally think he's manly enough to have tostesterone enough. Though I admit he isn't bulking mussles and all that. So I admit it sure isn't tostesterone excess. But I definatly wanted to do a Wyrd fig for the competition, and i already painted Bisschop (who I admit is more "look at me... I'm overflowing with tostesterone")
The lighting effect was fun to do. i wanted to see if i could get a better flame then I did for my Iron painter sebastian metalic paint entry. As that was it's weak point by far. I think this one is better. Still not quite there, but improving. And ofcouse this time I did add the OBL. Maybe not strong enough in places, but I wanted to keep the gritty dark, dawn like feel. I also wanted to paint him up natural, almost like a historical figure, just for change of style. Oh and to answer the question. Yep there are some natural shadows that are working against my OSL effect, like under the eyes. Though admittingly I should have lit up the face more from the bottom up.

This one is done up more cartoony. In this case I have to admit, he looks tostesterone challenged. Maybe I should have given him stubble. And purple and blond light hair ain't the most masculine of colours. I did deliberatly try to do something else then the normal brown or black leather which seems natural for this fig. I wanted high contrasting almost cartoonic colours (did tone the purple down in the end becouse it got to much) And the rounded sculpting style of the figure didn't help either making it manly. Still I had a blast painting it. Again, as with Ramos I wanted to do something fiery to practice that some more. Freehand it became in this case. The fig was a tad dull without it, but it did leave a nice open canvas to experiment. And I didn't have many sci-fi figs in my collection to chose from ;)
I do hate the base with a vengeance though. Most people seemed to agree this was a weak point. It turned out to dark and my trying to age and shade the metalics only made it dark and shiny. And taking the pictures it became worse. But I ran out of time, so i left it like this.

And finally the one I like most of mine and am pretty damn proud off (well I am that about all 3, but this one a bit more ;) ). My freelance knight:

One of GW finiest. Not always to fond of their figures but this one is brilliant. Trying to take my NMM to another level. Not flawless. But I do feel like I'm improving. I finally am starting to get confortable with NMM, maybe even more then metalics. I still know it scared the living hell out off me on my first tries. The freehand poster was done a bit "wonky" on purpose. I know I could do a more accurate natural portrait like poster, especially if I had used other mediums then just acrylic paint for it (for instance a sealed pensil or ink drawing. But I wanted it to be sketchy, yet still reconisable, instead of portrait art. Like some policeman quickly drew the man's face but wasn't the best of artists. I think that has a charm of it's own. Also a reason why the sketch has no colour. I wanted it to look simple. Didn't want to overshout the actual freelance knight with it either.
I will try to take a close up picture of the face as some wanted to see it more up close. I think it's one of the better facial paintjobs I've done to date.

Well my camera sure didn't want to work along. But this is the best and biggest i could get with it. His eyes are tiny (like Garrity eyes) and hard to reach due to the rim of the hat.

Very nice! Congrats! I really like your detail and freehand work! The source lighting, the phoenix and the wanted poster in particular! Nice touch! Great base work, too! Again, congratulations!
