Hey Guys!

This is the mini I painted for kublacon 2006 in the Kubla Kids category. It luckily won gold! It was my first work after only getting first cut in the younbloods category at GD LA 2006. I'm sorry for the blury picture!

Congrats on your win :).

Pros : convincing metallics, good placing of the highlights and shadows, interesting composition of the base (not the plith), good search in corrosion and general weathering.

Cons : the plith doesn't really add anything and rather draws away attention from the mini (too big and not the right shape for the mini), a back view would have been interesting, the picture is either too dark or not sharp enough (a commun mistake ;)), a shame that the terminator's feet aren't firm on the ground, might be the picture but the gun barrels seem drilled a bit off. My last critic is rather a personel one and I can understand that other people would like it : ripping up the bottom of the base seems to make it dirty and not finished; a unified base and color would have served as a frame and helped with the readability of the mini.

Overall, this is a quite above average mini but with still room to progress IMHO.

Not a bad piece of work there, the dark look realy gives the mini a sence of menace which is fitting and I like it very much.
