not to play Devils' Advocate or anything, but while the first three are Brilliant; Guv's Proxy is Fantastic and oozes character (look at that expression! :D ), Brass Arachnid is Awesome (although i'm not sure on that .. hand?), it begs a swarm of Steampunk Horrors and Purifying Flame would be cool on terrain pieces / dioramas (on a gravestone or carried as a banner top or pairs of them running up on the bannister of a set of steps as examples)... the other three are pretty rubbish :(
Essence Of Power seems to look like the sculptor lacked inspiration as to how to represent the totem, the Wendigo is pretty bland and the Voodoo Doll looks like either left over putty or a reject from That Other Companys' familiars range... sorry, this lot pretty much envokes all available opinions, good and bad

So where are our previews of the next lot of Totems? I believe the original preview of this lot indicated that another totem wave would quickly follow this one, so I was hoping we would get a preview of them when this group released. Maybe that will be the update for Friday?

Hey, stop pushing them, they're gonna break their hands in all this sculpting! :D
But seriously, I am happy if they take a little longer to make something really good rather then just do something quickly coz we want 'Everything, NOW'.
I have to agree with greenstuff_gav to some point tho I would not say rubbish, they (woodoo doll, and essence of power) are just not as good as the usual range from You guys.
I don't know if You just did not want to do a plain, usual, boring woodoo doll or something too similar to an other company's minis, but at this time it might have done better.
And the essence of power looks a bit unfinished for me. A good idea but lacks the 'Wyrd style'.
This is only one opinion, I still think that Wyrd is the most stylish and refreshingly different range out there. I just hope You'll come up with something more Wyrd for the Resurrectionists. :P

well the copycat killer certainly fits the wyrd theme.
I do wish people would hold back on the 'more minis now!' posts; I am happy with getting to know the game and current releases.
after all a month full of christmas days would quickly lose its sparkle?

Whereas I want to pick up both the Wendigo *and* the Voodoo Doll... and I don't even play those factions. So, to each their own.

I'm a little surprised at the dislike of the Voodoo Doll & Wendigo - when they were given to me to paint I was excited as heck! They have plenty of character for my liking - I was especially pleased with the fact that the Voodoo Doll gives the impression of being alive, as opposed to a floppy sack with seams in it - as for the Wendigo - I need a whole hoard of these little guys - so, dare I say it, cute (fun and vicious too)!

I think its hard to make a good judgment on the Wendigo right now because of his pics. Both views look like profile shots from front and back....whereas if you get a 3/4 view or front-on would look totally different because of his pose.
Its all good though, I'll be getting a painted one for Christmas this year, so you don't need to convince me....my fiance is going to be painting me up Rasputina in her catwoman theme...along with all her furry friends, Wendigo included.

the Voodoo Doll is excellent. Wendigo too. As for the Purifying Flame and Essence of Power... err I'll use some Proxy (enough said).
Prices, based on what I have seen listed in the UK, are prohibitive, however. I sure hope you will release packs with all 4 for each factions when they are all out, as, nice or not, I will definitely have a hard time justifying picking them up as it stands.

Not talking Nabisco here, these are delicous figs though.
My buds used to buy the models you guys make before it had a game and now we are all into it. Just ordered two of the totems for Arcanists, look great :)

The Voodoo Doll looks really nasty.
I like the Brass Archnid but shouldn't it have eight legs rather than four ?
I want to get one and paint it black with a red hour-glass mark on its abdomen - like a Red-Back Spider (or black widow for US readers).
The Governor's Proxy reminds me a bit of a another game's Inquistitorial Scribe who would may a good proxy for the proxy. Sorry about that.

Did someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed?
We werent 'bashing' them. I, for one, only stated my opinion as I do have one just like you. And as far as I remember I did not tell anyone off for having different taste than that of mine.

wasn't Bete Noire mentioned as coming soon somewhere?
we know the copycat killer's coming soon, but having tried him on the table, he's hardly a Brute, and only punishing to the player who took him

Be nice folks - y'all are welcome to voice opinions, good or bad about Wyrd, and we of course can take our lumps and use the critique from time to time as well. No harm, no foul.

Ramos is certainly an engineer and not an arachnologist. All the spiders he designed (the Arachnid Swarm, the Steamborg, the Brass Arachnid, and even The Leviathan) all have four legs instead of eight.

Although I would absolutely love to see the Hooded Rider or Waldgeist, my money is on Teddy. Nathan mentioned in a another thread specifically about Teddy that the model is in the process of being made, so I would think it would have to be him.
I can't see the Desolation Engine releasing without the Desolation Abominations, so I would think this cuts that model from the running. However, Wyrd's limited resources (relative to the other huge mini companies) may force them to release these in different waves.
Peacekeeper could also be likely I suppose. The Guild is the law and they are definitely about punishment, so maybe.
I am still waiting to see the next wave of Totems. I want my Jackalope!

It was mentioned that she would have a preview shown in the next Wyrd Chronicles e-zine (which is supposedly coming out sometime this week if everything goes according to plan).

I suppose while everyone is being brutally honest, I'll mention that I'm not a huge fan of the Seussian leprechaun with a top hat IN ANOTHER top hat for Seamus's copycat. I fully imagined a pair of boots with a hat almost fully engulfing a shadowy miniscule figure inside, holding a knife and a big gun. I may need to sculpt him as such with whatever I can find. Maybe I'll make it out of another Wyrd mini.
As for the Voodoo Doll, I find it to be rather brilliant-looking, but I simply based 3 of Zoraida's dolls on their own base walking down off a shore into a swamp like so many little zombies, while basing the seated one in front of Z on her own base. They look great as they're very much in scale for some on-the-field creations of Z's, and I'm very happy with that look.
Now I've just got to be patient and see how the Jackalope, the Poltergeist, the Cupid, the Student, the Child, and the Primordial Magic turn out!

Atleast Ramos is being consistant with his designs and modelling an extra four legs can be very tricky.
There maybe mutant spiders scuttling about Malifaux with four vestigial legs.
I'm looking forward to seeing the Zombie Chihauhua.

Woooo guys, big thumbs up for the new site, great job. :D
And if that creepy bear with the tartan heart is Teddy then that is exactly what I was referring to when saying 'Wyrd style'. It looks ingenious, I love it!
