Hi folks,
I'm new to the boards. (decided to register after a long time of lurking) Some of you might know me from 'Chest of Colors' :) Anyway I thought I'd show what I'm currently working on.

The pics aren't the best, but they'll work for now I hope :) The skin, purple robe and nmm are supposed to be finished. :D

Hi ToMaZ, welcome to the Wyrd!
Not bad, this one is a bit of an intimidating figure I think, but also one of those that I've seen some great work on and has become one of my favorites from the Rackham line.
The skin looks good, but the helmet covering (faceplate) looks really close to it as well. I thoguht it was supposed to be a mask, but I might very well be mistaken, thus that is one of those things that sort of grabs my attention.
Like the NMM and the scratches/battle damage you did. Something I have to work on myself.

yeah that mask needs some more work or needs to be repainted. It was basically a try-out. I'm planning on giving all the dirz I have a white maks. So this was a test to see how it turns out.
The fig sure is intimidating. This is the second rackham figure I started painting, (the other one I stopped after I snapped off his feet while painting) and I'm not used to this amount of detail yet :)
thanx for the comment

I own six Rackhams, and will never own another to be honest. All six are broken. All six weapons are broken. Weak, weak, weak ... $$$$$$$$es me off, especially when I have worked on them a goodly bit and then it breaks.
Actually, I lied. I own five Rackham, the sixth is somewhere in the woods outside the back of my house when I tossed it out that direction in order to avoid putting it through a wall in the house.

Hiya Tomaz!
I'm glad you decided to sign up instead of just lurking. Nothing wrong with lurking I suppose, but we need some fresh blood in here!! LOL
I agree with Nathan, the NMM scratches look good. The skin seems fine, although a bit more depth could be used here and there. The purple robes however, look rather flat. This could just be the pic, but I think a few more layers of both shadow and highlight would make it pop out more.

I'd get a much darker shade of that blue into the creases on the purple. NMM the faceplate and get some of both the purple and blue into the banner on his spear.
Nice NMM.
This one is a real bugger to paint - I finished mine a couple of weeks ago after having him sat around prepped for two years. Loads of fiddly little bits that never seem to end! I won't be doing another one :peace:

thanx for the pointers guys :) I'll see if I can put them to good result.
I've seen yours on CMON spacemunkie, very nice work. I loved it :)
Didn't you find that exoskeleton (or whatever it is) on his back a pain to paint?
Anyway, I think I'll post an update later tonight or tomorrow.

Yep. Skeleton thingy was a real pain, but then again so was the whole thing! He's a really awkward little git. Cool sculpt though.
