This is my first non Games Workshop mini, and indeed first female one too. Was fun to paint and different, the only think I'm not sure on is the base; well the fact it needs a proper one. Any ideas?

Anyway, pictures;

Ok, three pictures as I'm not sure which one looks the best; which do you think?

The fig looks good. I like it. As for the presetation since you asked. A few tips. Keep the spaces around the fig in each picture a bit bigger. Not saying huge but give the mini a bit of space to breath ;) (looks a bit claustrofobis now). Also keeping the mini whole on the picture, and not cut off parts of the base, will make it look more easy on the eyes. This will make the collage more pleasant to look at and will frame the mini nicely and making it look even better. I personally prefer the 4 picture version 2 up 2 down lay out wise but the presentation needs to be cleaned up a bit for better effect (the second 4 in a row is best in that respect... only a shame the bases are cut off partly. Also a bit more room between the miniatures and up and lower space would be better. Also overlapping pictures will make it look a bit messy which is a shame as it distracts from the mini.

I took the liberty to show what i mean visually by means of some photoshopping. Ofcourse I couldn't make the bases whole but you get the idea.

Maybe my eyes are just blurry from too much barbeque smoke, but I could swear I was looking at a real person, especially in the 3/4 view. Good stuff!!

Wow! Thank you, I will look to doing this in the future. I always thought it was better to keep the edging as close and small as possible, will look at this later. The base currently is the small brown 'hub' she is stood on, just unsure on how to make it better; on a larger one that works well.

I know the base is rather crappy but.. I am bad with them. Seems more thought into them are required before the painting is started. But basically the idea was a sort of muddy section on the shore of a swampy looking thing. *shrugs* Live and learn.

Oh and first time using any varnish at all, Testors Dull Cote spray. Not bad.
