Hello everyone =)

I finished this one about a month ago and have (finally) been given the go-ahead to show it around online. I painted this one for Dark Sword Miniatures - it was originally produced by Ral Partha, but is now owned by DSM. The sculptor is Dave Summers. I did my best to stick to the original art, although I made a few alterations or guesses when I couldn't figure out what the heck something was! ;)

Oh my goodness.....

Those are fantastic...look just like a fantasy painting.

Your colors are amazingly smooth, bright and clean, yet there is incredible depth there too.

Well done.

I'm diggin' this one. Smooth work on it, and the piece is a good one that I'm glad they were able to bring out of retirement.

I do think the tree looks a bit 'dull' though, but it is a larger piece and there are only so many ways that you can paint a tree, but I think I would have liked to have seen a bit of texture or even a touch of greenery or moss upon it just to break it up a bit.

great painting indeed!
i'm not overly keen on the lady, more a sculpt issue definitely not down to your painting.
but the little creature in the robes look superb :thumb:
