Hey folks,
I thought I would start up a fun thread about anything and everything that you find on the internet, whether it be news, video clips, sound bites or an interesting news article or an odd ebay (used underwear anyone?) auction.
Post anything you want, though keep in mind, if it is questionable material (please, not people shooting themselves in the head or anything stupid like that) or has nudity, give a warning and give an external link. Mostly I would like to just share the odd stuff out there.
Wife found this one last night. Thought it was rather well done if a bit repetitive halfway through.
http://www.filecabi.net/video/ice-age-rammstein.html (http://www.filecabi.net/video/ice-age-rammstein.html)
And this one here my wife found and showed me and it was just 'sad' to watch really. Anyone know what the hell this kid is screaming and carrying on about?

It comes down to the fact that his computer game isn't doing what he wants it to do...the rest won't come through the censoring I guess :D

This game is driving me nuts: http://gprime.net/game.php/4secondfury
You get a series of games and you have to finish the goal in, or last for 4 second for each game. Very fast and games are following up fast with hardly time to realise what you have to do. Longest I lasted was 64 seconds.

--
How Smart Is Your Right Foot?
This is so funny that it will boggle your mind. And you will keep trying it at least 50 more times to see if you can outsmart your foot. But you can't!!!
1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles with it.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction!
I told you so... and there is nothing you can do about it. ; )

*EDIT* And to stay on topic (why oh why) here's an educational game: 50 States Game (http://www.addictinggames.com/50states.html)
My first go I had 90% correct with average error of 12 miles in 197 seconds.
vincegamer
10-20-2006, 02:41 PM
means you got one state off.
That game is harder depending on what states you start with. If you start with wyoming or colorado, it's pretty hard to get them accurately placed.
EricJ
10-20-2006, 02:46 PM
weee, 92% correct, average error 11 miles in 212 seconds... ;)
the 3 I did miss were because they tell you to place like colarado exactly where it goes in the middle of an empty map, and I was off a little :(
Sergeant_Crunch
10-21-2006, 10:55 AM
98% avg error 2 miles in 202 seconds :P
Definitely easier when you start with states around the edges.
78%, which I don't feel too badly about since I wasn't educated in the US so didn't study a lot of US geography. But then on the other hand, I do feel bad, because there was an ad with a map of all the states running right under the game that I didn't even notice until I was done!

I'm going with sad. There's nothing wrong with collecting, but when a hobby (yes, even miniature painting) completely takes over someone's life like that, then they need help. I mean, going into debt for it?? Sheesh.
It's like that one Star Trek fan that wore her Starfleet uniform to jury duty. She won't leave her house without her "tricorder" and "phaser", even to go to work.
Nothing wrong with wearing stuff like that or even dressing up, but save it for the convention or some other special occassion.

And, as far as the bouncy animation goes, here's a quote from the wikipedia entry.
The song, popular in Finland (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finland) but previously unknown to the rest of the world, became better-known on the Internet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet) in spring of 2006 because of the flash animation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_animation) Loituma Girl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loituma_Girl). The animation starred the character Orihime Inoue (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orihime_Inoue) from the popular Japanese anime (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anime) Bleach (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bleach_%28manga%29). For the cartoon the second half of the fifth stanza (four lines) and the complete sixth stanza (eight lines) are used; they have no meaning and are therefore not included in the official lyrics. This is overlooked in most cases by the users who post the lyrics, often causing confusion.
Here's the link to the full entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ievan_Polkka

I love this sort of thing. It becomes unfathomable how big those things really are.
I guess I really never knew how relatively small Mars was compared to the Earth...I thought they were closer together, size wise.
In a little college town near here, they have a scale representation how far the planets are from the sun. Earth is an easy walk from the sun, pluto, not so much.
Nathan Caroland
04-23-2007, 01:26 PM
Yeah its interesting to see the relative sizes on these - as big as you think Earth is, it is a drop in the ocean when compared to some of the other planets out there. Neat stuff. I always did like those astrological whatnots where they shot all the stars and planets around you in a theater.

I wish they'd thought to include Luna.
I heard that they have found other planets with moons, and in fact there's even an asteroid in the asteroid belt with a moon.
The thing that is still odd/unique about Earth's moon is the ratio in size to the planet. Earth has things like tides and volcanoes because of the gravitational effect of such a massive body so near by constantly tugging on us.

Installing A Husband
Dear Tech Support,
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance -- particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.
In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as NFL 5.0, NBA 3.0, and Golf Clubs 4.1.
Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do?
Signed, Desperate
-------------------------------------
Dear Desperate:
First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an Operating System.
Please enter the command: 'I Thought You Loved Me.exe', try to download Tears 6.2 and don't forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.
Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law 1.0 It runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources. Also, do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0
In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Food 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.
Good Luck, Tech Support

What format do you play the TFT2 on?

PC, only way to play it IMO as I'm strictly a keyboard and mouse gamer and more to the point, they are releasing updates for achievements and a huge load of maps that you can't get for the consoles.
We've got it for the Playstation 3 as well but quite frankly its a bear to control and you are stuck on the same four or five maps the game comes with, even though the PS3 has the ability to download additional files, etc.

I like hip hop. (but the "good stuff," not all the BS rap they play on the radio, bla!) Anyway, the Grouch is one of my favorites and he just rolled through town the other night and the show was sweet. "Artsy" is sweet video and "Simple Man" is like my theme song for life, ha-ha no video though. Anyone else bob their head to this type of stuff?
