Since I began sculpting many years ago, my skills have improved to the point where I would naturally like to have a few do-overs. Add to that desire the reality of new figure lines on the market with slightly different interpretations of what a "28mm" figure is, and there becomes the need for a re-vamping of Knuckleduster's product line.
I've just released the first figure set in Knuckleduster's re-vamp. I've gone back the very first set I ever sculpted, "Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers," and I've completely re-interpreted and re-sculpted it. The new release is a six-figure set entitled simply Saloon Crowd (New), OW28-301 (the 300 series are the civilians in the new line).
On the workbench are six new gunfighters, and soon-to-be-released is a re-sculpted set of pool shooters (they await only the completion of a pool table that is the right size for them). The pool shooters and their table will be released as a set. As many sets as possible will be released as six-figure sets or an equivalent mix of figures and scenery for $10.
I won't be dumping the old product line--it will remain in the catalog listed as "Classic Knuckleduster 28mm." The new series will not be simply a re-iteration of the old figures, but will contain many new subjects and different combinations of figures. Although a few of the old figures may show up from time to time with some tweaking done to improve them, most of the figures in the new line will be brand new. The scale is consistent enough that it is possible to mix the new and the old.
In some cases, recently-sculpted figures in my old line will be spiffed up a bit and re-issued. If you have one of these newer old sets (if that makes and sense), and you're going to end up duplicating something you've already got, we can talk and I'm sure I can work out a deal for you that is fair.
