So now that it is out. What is everyone doing to build there base gamer community? Seems like in our area a lot of demos are going on. I believe people will be wanting more organized events soon. There has been talk of leagues, even tournaments. Interest is high right now so now we need to go out there and get people together and gaming. What techniques does your gaming group use to spur and unit the populace?

I like the 'crack' approach. I bought a spare copy of the rulebook and began loaning it out to the members of my local gaming community.
When I show up at the FLGS for our regular night playing OTHER GAMES, I prominently place my painted Malifaux figures, the pretty boxes they came in, the rule book, and other Malifaux paraphernilia on a table where passerby can see them and pick them up and ooh and aahh over them.

I tried using strippers to attract the gamers in the store, but for some reason the guys werent really into the other male gamers taking off their clothes in the store?

For me it was an alpha strike. I got the rule book and two crews. As soon as the guys in my group saw the book they ordered models. Then we proxied using some warmachine stuff . Now everybody has a crew and are getting ready to order more.

I am waiting for restock of product, but what I am going to do for an official demo is have a raffle, I am thinking one starter and maybe a few blisters. Anyone that plays a demo game will be entered into the raffle and at the end of the day having a drawing. Free stuff usually does wonders about generating interest.
