Not if they don't want to alienate some of their public (would need very high broad band and a good CPU). It's just a trailer (thanks for pointing it out Eric, the flying orc made laugh good ;)).

It's GW's answer to World of Warcraft. You'll need to install something on your hard-drive (probably by disk). At one GD they said it'd be pay per month, but maybe they'll change their mind and come up with something like Guild War.

i think i spotted a cost of $20 per month which is a little high i would rather buy an actual game or some minis

yeah, seems like massive multiplayers are to computer games right now as reality shows are to TV, they'll just keep making more and more no matter how crap they are. Who knows, this one could be good but I won't know because I'll never play it. I just thought the video was neet, fun to see our little guys animated like that.

I'm waiting for the RTS version of Warhammer "à la" Dawn of War :). Now that should be worth the gold ;). Looked like they were making good progress last time I checked.

Yeah, but not so lame.

Cut scenes in video games can be pretty awesome.

I always thought that using the same type of cut scenes they used for Starcraft or the Warcraft series would translate awesomely to the big screen. Or at least 'straight to video'.

The little movie at the beginning of the WH40K Dawn of War game was worth the entire purchase price of that game....(although the game was damn good too!)

The only problem is creating an interesting plot, unlike for those short cut scenes!....although I guess that wasn't really considered an issue when they were making Final Fantasy...

I was hoping for real Tyranids in the next DoW. And honestly, Undead Metal Skeletons are about the stupidest thing I've seen..but they make up for it with those cool Tau!
