View Full Version : Many Questions!
Hi,
I recently start playing res, but i'm not really sure how some thinks work, so i'm going to ask you right now.
1.How does the zombie controle work? Does it allow Nicodem to choose the movement direction of the zombies, or does it simply grant the "Fate cheating ability".
2.The Rotten belles got Sybelles as compaion. Can i activate all belles in 6" of sybelle or is Companion restricted to one model?
3.Is there any reason not to drag your master with lure?
4.Are slowed models allowed to search (all) ?
Thanks a lot, bye
Tim
Edit: @2: Okay, got it!

Welcome!
1.How does the zombie controle work? Does it allow Nicodem to choose the movement direction of the zombies, or does it simply grant the "Fate cheating ability".
As long as theyre within 12" of Nic, he can control them as if they were his own. Outside of that and they merely meander looking for braaaaains...
2.The Rotten belles got Sybelles as compaion. Can i activate all belles in 6" of sybelle or is Companion restricted to one model?
Activate Sybelle, and all belles within 6" of her may activate simultaneously.
3.Is there any reason not to drag your master with lure?
Im sure you could find a creative reason why or why not, depending on the situation!
4.Are slowed models allowed to search (all) ?
Ooh good question! I'd say yes...
The Rules forum is a good place to get these asked and answered, even though these are faction-specific...

Hi,
4.Are slowed models allowed to search (all) ?
Sure! An (all) action just takes up all the model's APs. That could be 3 APs (if its Fast) or 1 Ap (if its slowed). The only time I'd imagine you couldn't do an (all) action is if you're paralyzed, because you don't have any APs to spend.

Hannibal hit this one on the head. :)

Yep, Nicodem chooses where they go and who they attack, as long as they are within 12" of him. They are still forced to move at the very end of the round though.
Edit: and I am disappointed in your thread title. 4 questions is hardly many. I want to see at least 10 next time. :)
KK, sorry ;) .
I found most of the answers on other questions elsewhere, but i got another one, with an answer i can't find.
Can a model take counters from another model? For example the master who wants to get some corpse from searching models ? And how ,while b2b ?
Thanks a lot!

You can't hand counters off from one model to the next unless you have an ability to do so. Like the Canine Remains (0) For you master.

I have a followup question about the belles' companion (sybelle). I thought the process was: Activate belle.....declare using "companion (sybelle)", finish activation actions with belle, then immediately activae Madame Sybelle before your opponent activates a model.
Is a different ability allowing Sybelle to activate all belles within 6"?

Actually you would technically start to activate sybelle, and then all the belles within 6" of her can declare companion. You would then be able to activate each model, in any order you want(sybelle could be first or last or in the middle).
Note(from the Errate/FAQ) that models with a (0) ability to companion have to completely activate before they can do there 0 action, so the companion model or models from that ability would activate after them.
But for just straight companion you just need to declare all who is companioning and then you can activate them in any order.
Hope that made sense

Heyas!
In the spirit of asking questions about nicodem, How does arise work exactly? When it says sacrifice all corpse counters (within the 10' pulse) does this mean all the ones he himself has? Or him and his minions? Or his, his minions, and unclaimed corpse tokens just lying unclaimed in the 10 inches? Im sure im missing something obvious here but i gotta say its got me stumped :)
Another question in that vein is that do undead constructs provide scrap tokens as well as the corpse tokens it states it provides? im assuming not but do the suply equal amounts of each? or is it that it depends on the model picking up the stuff that determines whether its scrap or corpse? (ie scavenger or grave digger?).
Thanks for the help! :)
Got 2 new ones:
1. What triggers first stimulate oder ceaseless advance? Do i get an attack with +4cb and +1 card on the damage flip with my flesh construct or does it die before?
2. "get the stick" Zombie Chihuahua:
I don't really get it. Is the only way it works that Sebastian dies and drops the Bodyparts or am i wrong? Because there aren't any other Body Part Counters in play,....only corpse.

Ok, so I'm confused. Let's take the example of Sybele and the belles. The belles are the ones who have the companion ability. So is it that when a belle activates, Sybele gets to activate with that one belle, or is it when sybelle activates, the belles who have that ability activate with her?

Okay let me try to help(not this example below only works for models with Companion(x). If they have the action (0) Companion its different)
Say its your turn and you have Sybelle and three belles all within 6" of each other. You simple say I am activiating Sybelle and all three of these belles using companion. You then may choose to activate any of the 4 models in any order you wish.
See the Belles have companion Sybelle. So anytime Sybelle is activating anyone with that companion can choose to activate as well simultainiously. The rules for Simultanious actions dictacte that you can choose any order of activation.
Bonus round: Lets bring Seamus into the picture to help clearify (0) action companion
Seamus has the (0) companion belle action. Say he is also within 6 of your mob of ladies. Seamus companion ability is an actions. So he needs to activate first, and declare he is using companion(belle) on one of the belles. The Belle he declared companion with would then activate after his turn is complete(he has spent all his AP)
If he declares Sybelle(she is a Belle) as his companion, When Sybelle activated any Belle within 6" could also activate as well and the choice of order would be the players.
So in conclusion
Sybelle and Belles within 6" activate using companion: All models can activate in any order chosen by player
Seamus activates and uses his (0) Companion: Chosen Belle activates after Seamus
Seamus activates and uses his (0) Companion on Sybelle. Seamus activates, then Sybelle and belles within 6" of her can all activate. In any order chosen by the player.
Hope that helps.

We were wondering the same thing and since we are new had no idea which way it was intended.

I believe its technically all the unclaimed corpse counters. Ones carried by models are unaffected.
Got 2 new ones:
1. What triggers first stimulate oder ceaseless advance? Do i get an attack with +4cb and +1 card on the damage flip with my flesh construct or does it die before?
Ceaseless Advance happens at the start of the closing phase. So if he is still alive then, he gets the extra attack and movement.
It looks like you want to combine that with the Nurse spell Massive Dose/Stimulant. Which says to sacrifice target at the start of the closing phase.
So which one happens first? Normally I would say flip for it. Anyone else?

Yeah, I wanna know about this too. Is this just a typo? Should it say corpse counter?
