View Full Version : Malifaux and lasers?

Lasers make everything better, right? So why not Malifaux?

There are a few affordable laser line levels on the market now and they work quite well for checking LOS and charge paths. I picked up this one at my local home improvement store for $14.

The one that I have projects a bright enough that it can easily been seen in the well lit game store that I play at. The level can be sat on the table or held above the table to position the line where needed.

Also comes in handy to mark the deployment line at the start of the game and apparently these things can also be used in construction projects or to help hang pictures level. :)

Just thought I would share in case anyone else thought it was useful and liked playing with lasers too.

I use lasers for alot of my games, especially Infinity. However, this game isnt WYSIWYG so it isnt really needed, imho.

make the miniatures lead or even tin based, and you are one step closer to your goal ;)
optional weapons : Lasers, flamethrowers and hotswords (solder.. is that in correct english ?) .. flame throwers can potentially melt your own models tough.

Soldering Iron is what we say over here, although I must admit "Hotsword" is what I'll be using from now!

Either way, you won't see WS, NE, or myself in the testing credits. We're far to smart to be associated with something like lasers. Unless they are an upgrade for Canine Remains in a future book. The nurses already make them exploding dog bombs. Now they'll be laser guided.

that's an idea that belongs to someone else. besides, zombie dogs with lasers are all terrain. sharks are screwed outside of the water.
